Samantha Armytage shows off her slimmed-down figure as she rubs shoulders with Margot Robbie at star-studded Tropfest opening night

Samantha Armytage was keeping some A-list company on Sunday evening. 

The TV host attended the opening night of the Tropfest short film festival in Sydney, joining other well-known figures like Margot Robbie and Sarah Snook on the red carpet.

I was so impressed watching her at the event! At 49, she absolutely shone, looking fantastic with a noticeably slimmer figure. She wore a beautiful, understated gold outfit that really suited her – she definitely held her own with all the other glamorous stars.

Sam paired a one-shoulder, asymmetrical top with a pair of loose-fit trousers in the same fabric. 

She added a pair of heeled sandals, and carried a straw envelope clutch with gold hardware. 

The Today show host completed her look with a pair of hoop earrings and a stack of bangles. 

Sam chose a rosy makeup look with a pink lipstick, and wore her blonde hair down in soft waves.   

Alycia Debnam-Carey, known for her role in Apple Cider Vinegar, graced the red carpet in a stunning black midi-dress.

Good Charlotte band members and brothers, Joel and Benji Madden, attended the event and stood out with their all-black outfits.

Richard Wilkins and Karl Stefanovic were clearly enjoying themselves, playfully posing for photos against the media backdrop.

Several Channel Nine personalities, including Sarah Abo, Sylvia Jeffreys, David Campbell, and Belinda Russell, enjoyed a night out together at the highly-regarded film event.

Scott Cam, known for his role on The Block, traded his work gear for a stylish outfit of a blue shirt and black trousers for a night out.

I spotted Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward at the festival last night – what a treat! They were clearly enjoying a night out together, and I loved their relaxed, boho style. They’re such Aussie icons, and looked fantastic!

Bachelor star Matty Johnson attended the event alone, wearing a black and white outfit.

Lincoln Younes, known for his role in Last King of the Cross, looked stylish in a tan shirt and black pants.

Oh my gosh, Danny Philippou from Talk To Me was on the red carpet and he totally owned it! Seriously, his look was just… edgy. I’m obsessed, and he just completely pulled it off. As if being a judge wasn’t enough, he had to come dressed to impress too! I was completely captivated.

Football star Nicho Hynes arrived with his fiancée, Piper Wallis, who turned heads in a beautiful, light blue dress.

Sam Armytage has been looking fantastic lately, and it seems she’ll continue to do so for the foreseeable future, potentially through 2026.

Samantha is back on TV! She’ll be hosting The Golden Bachelor on Nine in 2025, and recently rejoined the team at Today after appearing as a guest several times over the last year.

The former popular breakfast television host filled in over the holidays while the usual presenters, Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo, were on their Christmas break.

Samantha became well-known as the host of the popular Sunrise program. In 2021, she surprised many in the television industry by announcing her departure from both the show and the network.

After jumping ship to Nine in 2024, there was much speculation she would replace Sarah Abo. 

I remember when people were speculating about Samantha’s future plans, but she quickly shut it down during an interview with Ben Fordham on 2GB back in October. She made it clear that she was completely focused on her role hosting The Golden Bachelor at that time, and that’s all she wanted to talk about.

The star recently made a surprising admission following her split from husband Richard Lavender. 

Jesse Palmer, the host of The Golden Bachelor, recently discussed his split from his husband, announced late last year, on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show. He was asked if he believes he’ll find love again in the future.

‘Of course I’ll find love again,’ she said, before bursting out into fits of laughter.

‘I mean, I’m keeping my options open,’ she cheekily added. 

She continued to assure fans, saying: ‘I am fine. Don’t worry about me, I’m having fun as always.’

Nine Star mentioned she plans to start dating again, but she’ll be more careful and selective about who she chooses.

I’m confident I’ll find love again, though I’m not sure when. When the moment is right, the right person will come along, and I’ll be sure to recognize it.
