Princess Andre says vicious row between dad Peter and mum Katie Price ‘RUINED’ her ITV show as she opens up about their bitter feud

Princess Andre says the public and messy conflict between her parents, Peter Andre and Katie Price, negatively impacted her experience on the ITV show she was a part of.

The rising star, 18, is back with the second series of her ITV2 reality show, The Princess Diaries.

The reality show, documenting the influencer’s life as a public figure, was the channel’s most successful new program of 2025, aside from its popular shows Love Island and Big Brother.

Even though she was doing well, attention was drawn away from her accomplishments due to negative attention surrounding her father’s involvement in the show, and the absence of her mother was also noticed.

Katie was upset about being treated without respect and felt ignored, and she believed Peter and his team were responsible for this treatment.

In the premiere of the new series, Princess reveals that the show created significant conflict between her parents.

‘It was difficult to deal with,’ she says, as reported by The Sun.

‘It caused so much family drama. It really upset me – I genuinely felt bad.

I was really looking forward to the show’s release and I appreciated all the support, but it was upsetting that it ended up causing disagreements and ruined my enjoyment.

‘It felt like it was all my fault. I thought: ‘Oh my god, this is not what I wanted.”

Following criticism from Katie, Peter and his stepmother Emily chose to leave Emily’s reality show on ITV2 after its first season.

I’m hearing from sources that this influencer recently made a big decision, and it seems like she really leaned on her dad – you know, the famous pop star – for guidance while she was thinking it through. It was definitely a collaborative process between the two of them.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I just heard from someone in the know that Pete and Emily won’t be in seasons two and three of The Princess Diaries! Apparently, it was a family decision – Princess and Pete talked it over, and they decided the show should really focus on her and her journey, not all the family stuff. I’m a little sad, honestly, I loved seeing their dynamic, but I guess if it’s what’s best for the show and for Princess, I can understand… though it still stings!

Katie was clearly upset about not being included in the first season alongside Princess, and her reaction created a lot of conflict and negativity during filming.

Everyone agrees Princess shouldn’t feel pulled in different directions by her parents, so Pete has significantly reduced his involvement, hoping it will improve the situation.

Everyone cares about Princess and wants her to succeed, and as she’s now an adult, she’s capable of making her own decisions and handling things independently. Ultimately, the show revolves around her journey.

Earlier this month, Katie and Peter announced they’ve resolved their public dispute and are now focused on creating a peaceful and supportive atmosphere for their kids.

The couple married in 2005, just over a year after first meeting on the reality TV show, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The couple later had two children, Junior, who is now 20, and Princess. They unexpectedly announced their separation and finalized their divorce in 2009.

Katie and Peterhave since revealed the acrimony that followed their divorce has been resolved.

This announcement represents the first time the former couple has communicated in 16 years. They stated they want to put the past behind them and begin a new, respectful, and positive relationship.

They added: ‘We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.

We’ve both agreed not to say anything bad about each other in the future, and this understanding is confirmed both legally and personally.

This decision shows we’re both dedicated to our family and creating a stable environment. We want to raise our children together as a united front.

We’re excited to begin a constructive relationship and ask for your understanding and support as we move forward.

Andre had previously stated that he kept Junior and Princess with him to protect them, and he’s also confessed that keeping their personal lives private has been difficult for him over the years.

In a 2025 Instagram post, he shared that he’d remained quiet for sixteen years despite ongoing false statements from his former wife and her family. He explained he did this to protect his children and other loved ones, but admitted the silence had been deeply upsetting.

This stops now. Recent false statements about my children and their lives have forced me to clarify the facts.

In 2018, I took in Junior and Princess for their safety and due to circumstances that were already known, and I cared for them until they grew up.

He explained that a legally binding order was put in place by the family courts in 2019 to ensure this agreement was followed. He hadn’t shared this information previously, wanting to protect his children’s privacy.

Court records from 2011 and 2015 show my ex-wife made false accusations. She was legally required to pay significant damages and cover my legal fees, and she had to issue an apology to both me and my team. Unfortunately, these same false claims are being made again now.

I still need to respond to a lot of false statements and unfair claims. I’ll be addressing those over the next few months.

A representative for Kate Price shared with The Mirror that she’s feeling much more positive and at peace now, and wants to move forward from past issues rather than getting caught up in back-and-forth arguments. She’s handling the situation properly with her legal team, and won’t tolerate being manipulated or bullied anymore.

Season two of The Princess Diaries is available from March 8, on ITV2 and ITVX.
