Ant and Dec are planning a new, exciting golf show where players compete on a challenging crazy golf course for cash prizes.
The popular British comedy duo are reportedly set to host a version of the American show Holey Moley, bringing their love of golf to the screen.
Ant and Dec, both 50 years old, are reportedly in discussions to host the British version of the game show, “A Hole In One.”
‘This would be the ideal show for Ant and Dec,’ a source told The Sun.
The show would feature competitors playing crazy golf on a huge course, combining their putting abilities with athletic challenges.
It’s an exciting and enjoyable competition where players can win money. The team would have a great time creating it.
Sources say the TV show is being made by Fremantle, the production company behind Britain’s Got Talent, and Mitre Studios, which is owned by Ant and Dec.
The Daily Mail have contacted Ant and Dec’s representatives and ITV for comment.
Both of them own vacation homes in Quinta do Lago, Portugal, a golf resort, and started playing golf 16 years ago thanks to their friend, actor Jonathan Wilkes, who introduced them to the sport.
Ant said previously: ‘I’d never been to a course in my life.
‘They said, ‘Won’t be long before you’re hooked’. We thought, ‘No way’. It took about six weeks!’
Just last month, the pair reminisced about a surprising and somewhat awkward sleepover they had with King Charles at his Scottish estate, Dumfries House.
The two TV personalities, while filming a documentary about Prince Charles at the time, recounted accidentally meeting him while they were in their dressing gowns. They later received a request to be quieter while celebrating in their room.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, Ant shared that they had spent a year filming with Prince Charles for a television program and had become friendly with him.
They offered us the chance to stay overnight before the final interview, and we immediately accepted! It was a fantastic experience, just as wonderful as we’d hoped.
I quickly put on the robe in my room and hurried into the hallway, hoping to find Dec. That’s when I saw the Prince. He greeted me and surprisingly started a conversation about how to prune roses. I felt incredibly awkward.
And that wasn’t the end of it, as Dec jokingly explained: ‘We had some wine in our room and things got a little loud. We definitely pushed it too far and someone asked us to keep it down!’
Ant and Dec explained they started their podcast, ‘Hanging Out With Ant & Dec,’ as a way to continue collaborating despite their hectic lives with their families.
Dec explained that because they both have young children and live far from each other, scheduling a podcast recording gives them a guaranteed reason to meet up in person.
‘We know each other inside out and we make each other laugh so hopefully people will like it.’
He did mention, though, that his wife, Ali Astall, and Ant’s wife, Anne-Marie Corbett, were concerned they might share too much personal information on the podcast and reveal things they shouldn’t.
