
As a critic, I’ve been waiting for news on the Paradise Lost series – the planned Wonder Woman prequel – and James Gunn has finally given us a firm update regarding its place in the new DC Universe. It’s great to have some clarity on what’s happening with this project after so much speculation!
Rumors circulated that the show Paradise Lost had been cancelled, so someone asked James Gunn on Threads if they were true. Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, replied, “Definitely not! I just checked Threads for the first time in weeks and all I’m seeing is misinformation. It’s crazy!”

Back in February, John Rocha first reported on the Geek Buddies podcast that the Paradise Lost TV series had been cancelled. He said his sources indicated DC had been meeting with writers and considering pitches for the show, but the project was now officially shelved – not just paused, but completely cancelled.
