Rachael Ray appeared noticeably slimmer on Thursday night, wearing a long black Adidas dress at an event also attended by Brooklyn Beckham and Ashley Graham.
The 57-year-old star was at Mike’s Amazing Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons in Miami.
California-based functional nutritionist Dr. Wilks noted that the well-known chef appeared to have lost around ten pounds.
He told The Daily Mail that she looks like she’s lost at least 10 pounds, noticing a slimmer face and waist.
‘Rachael seems more svelte than she was a year ago,’ he added.
She appears to be eating a diet focused on protein and vegetables, while avoiding carbohydrates and processed foods.
For years, the celebrity has followed the Mediterranean Diet, a way of eating based on the traditional cuisine of Italy, her family’s home country.
According to Dr. Wilks, this diet is simple because it focuses on foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, whole grains, and olive oil, and allows for some fish and poultry.
This food is also good for your health, helping to lower your risk of heart disease and potentially increasing your lifespan. Red meat is consumed infrequently.
Ray seemed pleased to be with her husband, John M. Cusimano, and she gave him a kiss on the cheek. The couple married in 2005.
The couple split their time between their houses in New York and Italy.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with Daily Mail, Ray seemed happy and energetic while speaking to the audience at the event in Miami.
And she was happy to introduce her friend Beckham.
Ray frequently discusses her fondness for the Mediterranean Diet. She mentioned on Dr. Oz about ten years ago that it’s a heart-healthy way of eating for her.
She explained that it reduces the chances of developing heart disease and can help people live longer. Additionally, she noted it also lowers the risk of dementia.
Ray also shared how to best stock your pantry for the diet which can be ‘easy and fun.’
She displayed a variety of shelf-stable foods, including olive oil, tomatoes, dried beans, herbs, and pasta – all easy to keep at home.
She explained that you can easily find dried beans and grains, such as farro, already canned, which is a convenient alternative to buying them dry.
‘They are high protein, high fiber and nutrient dense,’ added the chef.
She highlighted healthy Italian canned tomatoes, along with a variety of fresh produce like colorful peppers, garlic, spinach, and beets.
‘You don’t need a multi vitamin, you need the rainbow of vegetables,’ she said.
Ray explained she likes to eat her salad after finishing her meal, saying it helps with digestion. Dr. Oz agreed that this was a clever idea.
She mentioned eggs are a great, affordable source of protein and full of nutrients. She also shared that she prefers brown eggs over white ones.
She enjoys fresh seafood, especially sardines, which are a healthy source of fats. She often uses lemon juice to help her body digest these fats.
Rachael Ray’s popular talk and cooking show, The Rachael Ray Show, premiered in 2006 and finished its run of 17 seasons in 2023.
She subsequently launched a new program Meals in Minutes in April 2024.
