The Last Leg comedians Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe mock Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s post-arrest release picture

Comedians Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe had fans laughing after playfully making fun of a photo of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor that was shared on Instagram following his arrest on Friday.

I was really struck by the photos of Prince Andrew leaving the police station last week, and this guy, Josh, actually recreated the whole scene! He’s 42, and he perfectly captured that image of the car leaving the Aylsham police station in Norfolk around 7 pm on Thursday. It’s pretty amazing, honestly.

The hosts of The Last Leg posted a photo of Josh and Alex arriving at the studio, joking that their pose looked familiar.

Fans reacted ruthlessly in the comments, penning: ‘This is brilliant’,

People reacted with enthusiastic praise, including comments like ‘Superb!’ and ‘I was laughing so hard!’, accompanied by numerous laughing emojis.

Social media is flooded with memes about Andrew’s arrest, which ironically happened on his birthday. Many of these memes are becoming incredibly popular, with some gaining tens of thousands of likes and shares.

A post circulating on X (formerly Twitter) shows a before-and-after photo of Prince Andrew. One image shows him smiling, while the other shows him with a serious expression. The caption jokes that his change in demeanor happened when he discovered the dancer hired for his birthday party was actually an undercover police officer.

One photo depicts two female police officers peering into the window of a home, with the caption: ‘We’re not here for a private dance, Mr. Mountbatten.’

An AI created an image of Andrew celebrating his birthday in jail. He’s shown sitting in a prison cell, wearing inmate clothing, with a small cupcake and candle in front of him, and ‘Happy Birthday’ messages written on the walls.

Prince Andrew made history as the first senior member of the royal family in modern times to be arrested. He was held for about 11 hours on his 66th birthday.

He was arrested because he’s suspected of abusing his position while working as a trade envoy for the UK. The arrest follows claims that he passed confidential information to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

Police searched Andrew’s home in Norfolk and he was released while they continue their investigation.

After increased attention on his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and moved out of his home, Royal Lodge, in Windsor last October. Searches of Royal Lodge are still ongoing.

Andrew was arrested on Thursday but later released without any charges being filed. However, the investigation into his actions is still ongoing.

He’s accused of sharing secret information with Epstein while working as a UK trade representative, which is a serious offense potentially punishable by life in prison.

After his arrest related to his connection with Epstein, many people called for Andrew to step down from his position in the line to become king, believing it was the right thing to do.

The former prince, who has lost all his titles, remains eighth in line to the British throne.

A recent YouGov poll conducted after his arrest shows overwhelming support – 82% of Britons – for removing Prince Andrew from the line of succession. Only 6% believe he should stay.

Downing Street is facing growing calls to force Andrew to resign, potentially using a rarely invoked law, unless he chooses to step down on his own.

Conservative MP Andrew Bowie believes Andrew should voluntarily step back from his position in the line of succession, calling it the right thing to do.

The shadow Scotland secretary stated it would be the right thing to do. They added that if he’s convicted, Parliament would be justified in removing him from the line to become king.

It’s important to remember that he hasn’t been charged with any crime, and is still considered innocent until proven guilty.

Mr. Bowie said on GB News that we need to allow the police to complete their investigation, and then everyone should react based on what they find.
