Rachel Zegler supports theatre star Jack Wolfe as he makes his Broadway debut in Hadestown and says she’s ‘never been so blown away’

I was so thrilled to see Jack Wolfe make his Broadway debut in Hadestown, and it warmed my heart to see Rachel Zegler publicly showing him some love and support! It’s wonderful when actors champion each other like that.

The 24-year-old actress was incredibly impressed after watching his performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City on Wednesday.

Sharing an update to her Instagram Story, Rachel proudly hugged Jack after seeing the show.

She wrote in the caption: ‘I’m absolutely amazed! Incredible work, my dear friend. Having you on stage makes the world a much brighter place!’

Jack plays the main character, Orpheus, an artist, in the production. Filming started in September and is scheduled to finish on March 1st.

This musical, created by Anaïs Mitchell, is a retelling of the classic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.

Rachel Chavkin directed Hadestown, while Mitchell wrote the book, music, and lyrics for the show.

I first experienced this incredible opera when it premiered Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop back in 2016. Damon Daunno was absolutely captivating in the main role – I still remember how much his performance moved me.

Rachel’s recent Snow White movie has received six nominations for the Golden Raspberry Awards, often referred to as the Razzies, marking a significant number of unfavorable recognitions.

The Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies as they’re commonly called, recognize the year’s worst films and performances. The ceremony takes place on March 14th, just before the Oscars.

Snow White and the upcoming War of the Worlds film, featuring Ice Cube and Eva Longoria, are both leading the nominations with the highest number this year.

Close behind with five nominations is Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, for his film Wake Up Tomorrow. The movie features The Weeknd playing a character inspired by himself, and it connects to his album of the same name.

Although Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, might win the award for worst actor, Rachel Zegler avoided a nomination for worst actress.

According to Variety, Snow White has been nominated for Worst Picture, joining films like War of the Worlds, Hurry Up Tomorrow, Star Trek: Section 31, and The Electric State – a sci-fi action movie from the directors of Avengers: Endgame.

This year’s Razzie Awards, which honor the worst performances in film, have nominated three actresses who have previously won Oscars. Rachel Zegler’s West Side Story co-star, Ariana DeBose, received a nomination for her role in the action comedy Love Hurts, as did Natalie Portman for the Guy Ritchie film Fountain of Youth, and Michelle Yeoh for Star Trek: Section 31.

The movie Snow White wasn’t successful when it came out in March, and Forbes estimated it would lose over $115 million by the time it finished playing in theaters.

Social media users largely blamed Rachel Zegler, adding to a history of online criticism directed at both her and the movie.

When Rachel Zegler was first cast in 2021, it sparked debate because she didn’t have the traditionally expected pale complexion described in the original Brothers Grimm fairytale.

At a Disney fan event the next year, Zegler upset many fans of the original 1937 animated film when she strongly criticized its story.

She criticized an old movie, saying it featured a strange romance where the man relentlessly pursued the woman. ‘We definitely didn’t include anything like that in our film,’ she added.
