Nick Viall and Natalie Joy reveal gender of their twins weeks after announcing pregnancy following past miscarriages

It’s about to be a full house for Nick Viall and his wife Natalie Joy. 

The couple expecting twins recently found out they’re having two baby girls.

The couple announced they were expecting a baby girl with an Instagram post. The video showed them sharing a kiss before Nick Viall, 45, burst two large balloons, filling the air with pink confetti.

A shower of pink balloons and confetti filled the air, announcing that the couple was expecting three baby girls.

Nick Viall and his wife, Joy, shared a hug with their two-year-old daughter, River Rose, as they prepared for the arrival of new siblings.

‘and the twins are… (four sob emojis) a dream!!!!!’ Joy captioned the video.  

This good news arrives just weeks after the couple shared that they are expecting a baby, following a difficult path to starting a family.

The couple announced they’re expecting twins, calling them their ‘rainbow babies’ in a social media post.

A ‘rainbow baby’ refers to a child born after a previous miscarriage. It’s a term of hope and joy following a loss.

Last year was incredibly tough for the couple, as Joy experienced three miscarriages in 2025.

Nick Viall and his wife have a daughter named River Rose Viall, who was born shortly before their wedding in Georgia.

River was included in the announcement, the toddler clad in an adorable sweater reading ‘Big Sis.’

Joy, wearing a satin top that was open in the front, gently touched her pregnant belly while she and her husband looked at the sonogram together.

Nick Viall, known for appearing on The Bachelor and now a popular podcaster, married Joy on her family’s farm in Georgia in 2024, after dating for four years.

Natalie has always loved this place,” Viall shared with People magazine. “I was immediately impressed by the wide-open spaces and beautiful colors when I first went there.

The wedding, held on a 300-acre farm near Savannah, hosted 170 guests. Notable attendees included JoJo Siwa and several stars from The Bachelor franchise – Jared Haibon, Ashley Iaconetti, Ben Higgins, and Victoria Fuller, who served as one of the bride’s bridesmaids.

River Rose was just two-months-old at the time and was present for her parents’ wedding.

Joy shared, ‘Having River really deepened my feelings for Nick. I thought my love for him couldn’t grow, but it brought us even closer.’

She described seeing their child as a blend of both of them, and praised Nick for being supportive throughout it all.

Heartbreak struck the family last year as the couple attempted to have another child.

In August, Viall revealed his wife had suffered her third miscarriage of the year.

Natalie experienced a miscarriage in January 2025, and sadly lost another pregnancy just two months afterward.

Natalie recently suffered another miscarriage, making it her third this year. Nick Viall, speaking on his podcast ‘The Viall Files,’ expressed his heartbreak, saying there’s no easy way to describe how awful it feels.

‘She’s obviously at home resting, healing, both physically and emotionally,’ he said.

But now, six months on, the couple are happily celebrating their expanding family.

Earlier this month, Joy shared a photo on Instagram Stories revealing her baby bump. In the picture, she’s wearing a see-through white shirt and comfortable pants, with her hand gently resting on her stomach, shortly after announcing her pregnancy.
