Snoop Dogg sends Winter Olympics tickets to restaurant owners after his credit card was declined

Snoop Dogg is dropping Olympics tickets like it’s hot.

The hip-hop star has been actively involved in the Milan-Cortina Games, working as a special correspondent for NBC and an honorary coach for the U.S. team. News reports from NBC and Reuters also indicate he’s been sharing the excitement of the Olympics with people in the local community.

Snoop Dogg reportedly sent five tickets to the men’s snowboard halfpipe final as a thank you to the owners of a local Italian restaurant. The owners of Cronox in Livigno, Italy, covered his meal after a credit card issue. Sofia Valmadre, whose parents own the restaurant, explained that Snoop had ordered a cheeseburger, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, and fries, but the card used by his team was declined for reasons they didn’t disclose.

You won’t believe this, but a guy was struggling to pay for his food, so my mom told him it was alright to take it without money. And get this – the very next day, he sent us five tickets to the championship final! It was such a kind gesture, and we were so thrilled!

Snoop Dogg has become a regular at the Olympics, and NBC has officially recognized his role beginning with the 2024 Paris Games. He’s been enthusiastically supporting American athletes like curlers Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin, snowboarder Chloe Kim, and speedskater Erin Jackson – often while wearing custom clothes to show his support. While in Italy, he’s also been spending time with his friend Martha Stewart, learning to ski with Picabo Street, and becoming friends with Olympians such as figure skater Ilia Malinin.

Martha Stewart recently shared that Snoop Dogg is actually a pretty picky eater. She even playfully surprised him with a comfort food dish – spaghetti and meatballs with cheddar cheese – when they were at a fancy restaurant.
