Ever since Barry Keoghan was announced for the Peaky Blinders movie, fans have wondered if he was playing Tommy Shelby’s son. Now, that speculation has been officially confirmed.
The official trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is finally here, and it reveals a major plot point: Barry Keoghan is playing Tommy Shelby’s son. In the trailer, Ada Shelby tells Tommy that his son is currently leading the Peaky Blinders, recreating the gang’s style from 1919.
Tommy insists he’s changed and can’t get involved, but he’s quickly drawn back into a dangerous situation when his son is asked to commit an act of treason that could determine the outcome of the war for Germany.

The trailer offers the clearest view yet of Rebecca Ferguson’s mysterious character, Kaulo, and confirms Stephen Graham will reprise his role as Hayden Stagg. The scene culminates with Tommy confronting his son inside The Garrison – a fitting location, given their history.
Seeing Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy together at The Garrison pub, each with a whiskey, was a particularly special moment for me,” said Steven Knight, the show’s creator and the writer of the film adaptation, in an interview with EW.

I’m always a little skeptical when people start raving about an actor and saying things like, ‘He’s so still and captivating.’ You hear those kinds of descriptions a lot, and they don’t always ring true. But with Barry Keoghan, it’s different. Everything people say about his presence and how he commands the screen? It’s all genuinely accurate, and it’s amazing to see.
I always hoped our child would be a boy, and when we found out we were having him, I was overjoyed. He’s exactly the personality we needed, and he’s just a wonderful person.
Keoghan recently explained how he was able to deliver the famous line, “by order of the Peaky Blinders,” in the film. He jokingly admitted in December 2025 that he felt he shouldn’t even be allowed to say it.
The new Peaky Blinders film, “The Immortal Man,” will be shown in some cinemas starting March 6th, and will then be available to stream on Netflix from March 20th.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
