Dame Joan Collins, 92, joins Cary Grant’s ex-wife Dyan Cannon, 89, on the red carpet at a screening of her new Agatha Christie-style whodunnit A Murder Between Friends

On Wednesday, Dame Joan Collins was accompanied by Dyan Cannon, who was once married to Cary Grant, at a screening of her latest movie, A Murder Between Friends.

The celebrated 92-year-old actress plays Francesca Carlyle in a new mystery film, released last week, reminiscent of Agatha Christie novels.

Joan looked incredibly stylish at the event held at AMC Century City 15 in Los Angeles, sporting a sequinned biker jacket with a luxurious fur collar.

She teamed it with a pair of black, smart trousers and added heeled boots to top off her outfit.

Dyan dressed up in a stylish puffed-sleeved jacket and trousers to show her support for a friend.

Dyan and Cary got married in 1965, a time when she was just beginning her career and he was already very successful.

When they married, actor Cary Grant was 61 years old, and his wife, Dyan Cannon, was 28 – 33 years younger than him.

A year later, they had a daughter, who was Cary’s only child. However, they divorced in 1968, bringing their marriage to an end.

When Cary Grant met Dyan Cannon, he was already a hugely successful and famous actor, with a long list of films under his belt. However, he was also well-known for being a bit of a ladies’ man.

Joan was joined at the event by her husband, Percy Gibson, whom she married in 2002 after meeting him in 2000. He is 61 years old.

He looked smart in a classic black suit, teamed with a white shirt and patent, lace-up shoes.

A Murder Between Friends boasts a talented cast, with Nadia Bjorlin, Toby Alexander-Smith, and Jim Borstelmann among the stars.

The story centers around Francesca, played by Joans, a journalist who hosts a popular TV show focused on solving murder cases. She specializes in investigating families involved in these crimes.

A weekend getaway at her castle turns deadly when one of six friends is found murdered.

The mystery film was shot on location at Úsobí Castle in the Czech Republic. Jacob Young and Trent Garrett both directed the film, and Mark Rozzano wrote the screenplay.

Mark explained that he created the detective character Francesca Carlyle with his friend Joan Collins in mind. He envisioned her as a glamorous take on the classic Miss Marple, drawing on his lifelong love of Agatha Christie and television detectives like Columbo.

I’m incredibly lucky to have worked with a fantastic group of friends – some of the most talented actors from Hollywood, London, and Broadway.

Lisa Romanoff, CEO of Vision Films, described the new murder mystery as a clever and unpredictable story that will keep viewers guessing until the very end.
