I just heard some disappointing news about Plane! Apparently, there won’t be a sequel, according to one of the actors who was in the first movie with Gerard Butler. I really enjoyed the original – it was a cool thriller about a pilot who has to team up with a potentially dangerous passenger after a rough emergency landing, and they both work to protect everyone on board in a pretty tough situation. I was hoping for more!
A sequel, titled Ship, was quickly announced after the initial release, with Mike Colter, who co-starred in the original, set to reprise his role and Butler returning as a producer.
Colter has confirmed the project has been cancelled. Butler decided to stop production just weeks before filming was scheduled to begin.
What to Read Next
Gerard Butler unexpectedly decided not to participate in the project very late in the process. According to one source, there wasn’t much conversation about it. He withdrew about two weeks before it was supposed to begin, leaving the team scrambling to find a solution, which ultimately fell through.
Colter explained that the next part of the story would continue directly after the last episode, focusing on what happened to a particular character and how he escaped the island. He said he was really enthusiastic about these developments.

It has been revealed that in Ship, the character Louis Gaspare will flee the Philippines by stowing away on a cargo ship, only to discover it’s being used for human trafficking.
The story follows his partnership with the first mate as they work to destroy the powerful ring, challenge the dishonest captain, and liberate those who have been harmed.
I just finished watching Plane, and it was seriously good! Rotten Tomatoes gives it a fresh rating of 78%, but honestly, it felt even better than that. Observer called it a “first-rate action thriller” – and they weren’t kidding. It’s just non-stop action and suspense, way better than most movies in this genre. It really delivers a thrilling ride!

According to the Detroit News, the movie Plane is surprisingly thrilling and exciting, reminding viewers of Die Hard 2 in a good way, despite its rather ordinary title.
I saw a review in Empire that wasn’t so thrilled with Plane. They basically said it’s usually pretty bad, but hey, at least Gerard Butler and Mike Colter are always good in action movies, so it wasn’t a total loss!
