The animated series Invincible is returning for a fourth season, continuing the story of Mark Grayson, a new superhero learning the ropes. This season promises bigger challenges as Mark faces powerful new villains who will test his strength and values. Prime Video has released a sneak peek at both these new threats and some familiar heroes who will be back.
Steven Yeun returns as the voice of Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible, and he’s joined by other popular characters like Atom Eve and Omni-Man. A major highlight is the introduction of Thragg, a villain fans have been anticipating for a while. The series also features the first animated appearances of Dinosaurus and Universa, both of whom pose unique dangers to the planet.
Thragg, a powerful leader in the Viltrumite army, is considered one of the galaxy’s strongest fighters. After Omni-Man’s attempt to take over Earth failed, Thragg is now focused on conquering the planet. Actor Lee Pace will voice this character, who has been hinted at for a while.
Season 4 will introduce Dinosaurus, a popular villain from the comic books. Originally a scientist named David Anders, Dinosaurus can turn into a giant, red dinosaur and commits acts of eco-terrorism, believing he’s helping humanity evolve. His beliefs put him at odds with Mark Grayson (Invincible), and their battles will be featured in the new season. Matthew Rhys will provide the voice for the character.
The final member of the villain group is Universa, a brand-new character to the series. Actress Danai Gurira provides the voice for Universa, an alien warrior who travels to Earth to collect energy. She hopes to save her home planet, but her forceful methods soon bring her into conflict with Earth’s heroes.
Now that we know who the new villains are, Invincible Season 4 promises to be Mark Grayson’s biggest challenge yet, arriving on Prime Video this March.
