Truth about WWE legend Charlotte Flair’s rumored romance with young NFL star Puka Nacua – and their 15-year age gap

People are buzzing after WWE wrestler Charlotte Flair was seen with NFL player Puka Nacua at the Daytona 500 in Florida this weekend.

People noticed a similarity between the relationship of the 39-year-old, who has been divorced three times, and the 24-year-old Rams player, and rumors about WWE star Nikki Bella dating football newcomer Cooper DeJean. The age difference – 15 years – sparked the comparisons.

Bella is 42 and has been divorced twice, making her 19 years older than the Super Bowl champion, who recently turned 23.

Rumors are swirling that Ric Flair is dating a younger NFL player, similar to how Nikki Bella previously dated an athlete. Flair and the rumored new partner haven’t denied the speculation, and have been actively engaging with each other on Instagram, fueling the gossip.

However, a source tells Daily Mail that the 14-time women’s world champion is in fact still single.

According to someone at the Daytona 500, she was really enjoying herself with Puka, his brother Samson, and the rest of the crowd. It was a huge party and everyone was having a great time.

Charlotte is currently single and was spending time relaxing with her friends, Puka and Samson.

However, a source said that Flair and Samson were developing a much stronger connection than Flair and Puka, and both people felt the same way.

Okay, so everyone was definitely noticing how she was all over Samson! And get this – he was totally flirting back! I mean, the chemistry was just… unbelievable. I knew it! They were practically radiating energy at each other, it was amazing to watch. Seriously, it was so obvious.

According to a source, Flair is currently not dating anyone, but she is enjoying the attention she’s been getting since her divorce from her third husband, Andrade El Idolo.

‘Charlotte loves being tied to the rumors as it gives her a lot more clout,’ they said.

‘She isn’t dating any of the Nacua brothers, she’s just having fun and enjoying things.’

Daily Mail has contacted Flair for comment.  

Though she’s achieved a lot as a wrestler – and happens to be the daughter of WWE star Ric Flair – she hasn’t had much luck with relationships.

Her first marriage to Riki Johnson lasted for three years, with the pair divorcing in 2013.

She married English wrestler Thom Latimer that year, but they divorced after two years in 2015.

She most recently married Mexican wrestler and former WWE star Andrade in 2022, but they divorced two years later in 2024.

Last year, Flair told Sherri Shepherd that her biggest concern when she decided to get a divorce was keeping it private.

I was really struggling, both at work and in my personal life. On top of that, going through another divorce and being compared to my father was incredibly humiliating.

Bella, another wrestler like Flair, has been unclear about whether she’s actually dating DeJean, leading to conflicting reports.

Initially, the reality TV star from Total Bellas seemed to suggest she was dating the football player, but she later clarified to TMZ that she was currently single.

DeJean also told the Up & Adams podcast that Bella was ‘amazing’ but just ‘a good friend’. 

Rumors of a romance between Bella and DeJean started circulating after they were photographed together at the Philadelphia Eagles’ training camp earlier this year. Bella later attended the Eagles’ game in December, further fueling the speculation.

The WWE Hall of Famer and Artem Chigvintsev, a professional dancer from Dancing with the Stars, finalized their divorce in 2024, ending their two-year marriage.

She was once engaged to marry John Cena, the famous WWE wrestler and actor, but she ended the engagement just a few weeks before their planned wedding in 2018.
