Zach Bryan’s ex Brianna Chickenfry makes scathing comment about him marrying her exact lookalike

Zach Bryan’s former partner, Brianna LaPaglia (known as ‘Chickenfry’), publicly expressed strong disapproval of his marriage to a woman who bears a striking resemblance to her.

In October 2024, LaPaglia and Bryan ended their 15-month relationship, after which she claimed he had been unfaithful throughout their time together.

Last summer, 29-year-old Bryan started dating yoga instructor Samantha Leonard. Fans have commented on her striking resemblance to LaPaglia.

After dating for five months, Bryan and Leonard shocked and delighted their fans by getting married on New Year’s Eve in San Sebastian, Spain.

In a recent interview on the Impaulsive podcast with Logan Paul and Mike Maljak, 26-year-old LaPaglia described his marriage as a personal attack.

After Maljak suggested people sometimes have a certain preference, LaPaglia retorted that he was unique and no one had ever resembled him before.

During the interview, LaPaglia surprisingly revealed that if she’d accepted Bryan’s $12.9 million offer to keep their relationship private, she wouldn’t have been able to use social media.

She explained that agreeing to his conditions would have completely stifled her work. She wouldn’t have been able to share her thoughts or opinions, and would have been limited to only saying nice things.

The Daily Mail has contacted Bryan’s representative for comment.

LaPaglia also claimed the NDA’s restrictions would have covered everyone at Barstool Sports, including her podcast co-hosts, Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

Honestly, she said they could have been handled, and I just lost it! I was like, “No way! That’s completely impossible! Seriously, what is she even saying? It’s just…crazy!” I couldn’t believe she even suggested it.

LaPaglia insists she doesn’t regret turning down the money, and strongly states that if she had wanted it, she would have taken it without hesitation. She acknowledges people doubt her, but maintains her honesty.

She explained her hesitation by saying that people didn’t know the full extent of her difficult experiences with this individual. The thought of continuing to deal with him, both emotionally and through a five-year contract, was unbearable.

She claimed that if she had given in to Bryan’s requests, she would have been monitored by him and his team for the next five years, until all payments were finished – something she absolutely refused to allow.

She explained to Paul and Maljak that the relationship was very controlling, requiring her to constantly report in and stay in touch with his boss.

Maljak drew a comparison between the terms of the non-disclosure agreement and the restrictions placed on a person on probation, and praised LaPaglia for refusing to sign it, calling her ‘noble’.

LaPaglia emphasized that he didn’t do it for admirable reasons. He explained it was a personal matter – something he needed to finish with that part of his life.

Paul questioned why Bryan was still trying to control her even after they broke up, which led LaPaglia to label her ex as a dangerous person with psychopathic and narcissistic tendencies.

Bryan and Samantha Leonard started dating last summer and unexpectedly got married on New Year’s Eve while vacationing in Spain.

These remarks follow comments Bryan seemingly made about her on three songs from his latest album, ‘With Heaven on Top.’ The album was released just nine days after his wedding to Leonard, who Dave Portnoy has noted bears a striking resemblance to LaPaglia.

In his song “Skin,” Bryan described getting rid of old tattoos, and defiantly stated he wouldn’t harm his former partner, singing he was ‘never touching yours again.’

Bryan once revealed he got a tattoo for LaPaglia very early in their relationship – just three days in! Later, they both got matching tattoos featuring lyrics from one of his songs: ‘How lucky are we?’

His latest album included a track called “Slicked Back,” where he sang a line about people sharing their lives online versus someone who paints in the evenings. This seemed to be a way of contrasting Leonard’s love of art with LaPaglia’s more active use of social media.

You know, I was listening to Bryan’s song ‘Plastic Cigarette’ and it really struck me – it seems to be about the night he first met Anthony LaPaglia. Apparently, Bryan had just finished a show in Queens and that’s where they connected. It’s fascinating how music can capture those specific moments in your life!

The country singer said his brother warned him to stay away, but he hadn’t realized how dangerous some people in Queens could be.

Shortly after Bryan announced their separation, LaPaglia spoke about a rumored non-disclosure agreement on the podcast she co-hosts with Portnoy and Richards, sharing her perspective on the situation.

She stated she initially refused any settlement, famously saying, ‘I don’t want one, that’s not who I am.’ However, she also admitted to having several discussions with Bryan’s representatives.

She explained that they presented her with several offers, starting small and increasing to $10 million, then $12 million. They also offered her a house and, later, an apartment in New York.

She was shocked he was offering her money to stay quiet about their relationship, which she’d publicly shared on Instagram, highlighting how much love they had. She angrily asked him what he was trying to conceal and what he feared would be revealed.

LaPaglia claims Bryan emotionally abused her, describing it as deeply narcissistic and isolating. She says he controlled her life, prevented her from pursuing her own identity, and consistently undermined her self-worth.

She claims she initially agreed to accept the settlement, but then changed her mind when Bryan’s team didn’t send the money right away. They repeatedly gave her reasons for the delay, which led her to reconsider.
