A new spin-off of Yellowstone is coming this year, and Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, says it will be noticeably different. The new series, called The Dutton Ranch, follows 1883 and 1923 and will begin immediately after the events of the Yellowstone finale.
While promoting her new Sky crime thriller, Under Salt Marsh, Reilly spoke with Digital Spy about Dutton Ranch.
When asked about the new project, Reilly hesitated, saying she wasn’t sure how much she could reveal. However, she did share that it’s a new show, distinct from Yellowstone, which she described as a self-contained and successful series. She expressed excitement about this different direction they’re taking.
What to Read Next
The show centers on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they fight to protect their family’s land from those who want to take it.
Beth and Rip are enjoying the hard-won peace they’ve found at the Dutton Ranch, after years of struggle and risking everything to protect their 7,000-acre property.

Facing hardship and strong competition, Beth and Rip focus on survival and raising Carter (Fin Little) to become the person he’s meant to be.
Reilly shared that filming is currently underway and expressed his excitement to discuss the project upon its release. He also announced that Annette Bening and Ed Harris are among the talented cast members.
Harris will play Everett McKinney, a kind and funny veterinarian who is also a seasoned and compassionate animal caretaker (according to Good Housekeeping).
I’m so excited! Annette Bening is going to play Beulah Jackson, who I’ve heard is this incredibly strong, smart, and charismatic woman who owns a huge ranch in Texas. I read about it in The Hollywood Reporter, and I can’t wait to see her in the role!
Another new show connected to Yellowstone, called The Madison, is also coming out this year, and you can watch a preview here.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell will star in The Madison, a new series coming to Paramount+ on March 14th. The show centers around a family from New York City who relocate to the Madison River valley in central Montana.
Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Stacy Clyburn, the family’s matriarch, and is joined by Matthew Fox, known from Lost, who plays the rugged bachelor Paul.
The new show, Dutton Ranch, will be available later this year. All five seasons of Yellowstone are currently streaming on Paramount+.
