According to a new rumor, we may know who is playing Gwen Stacey in Spider-Man 4.
The next Spider-Man movie, currently titled Spider-Man 4 or Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is scheduled to hit US theaters this summer. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing, and Tom Holland will be back as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, continuing his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Who is rumored to be playing Gwen Stacey in Spider-Man 4?
A new rumor circulating on Twitter, shared by user @Majestic_ucm, suggests that Kiernan Shipka – famous for her roles as Sally Draper in Mad Men and Sabrina Spellman in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – might be cast as Gwen Stacy in the next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man 4.
Right now, this is just speculation, so it’s important not to believe everything you hear. Marvel hasn’t revealed any details about the plot of Spider-Man 4, and it’s currently unknown if Gwen Stacy will even appear in the film. While there’s been talk of Kiernan Shipka potentially joining the cast, there hasn’t been an official confirmation, so even if Gwen Stacy is in the movie, another actress could end up playing the role.
Kiernan Shipka is known for her roles in shows like Mad Men and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, as well as voicing Jinora in The Legend of Korra and playing Haley Clay in Industry.
