For over forty years, Dragon Ball has captivated fans with its ongoing story, which constantly introduces new challenges and develops with each arc. Each story arc features a distinct and powerful villain, offering a fresh experience. The Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga in Dragon Ball Super (manga chapters 42-67) is a key part of the series, exploring what happens to Goku and his friends after the Tournament of Power.
The Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga really challenges our heroes and introduces a lot of new villains. With the upcoming release of Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, this story arc is sure to become even more popular. Now’s a great time to get reacquainted with all the exciting villains featured in it.
Zauyogi Gives Dragon Ball’s Weakest Warriors a Worthy Challenge
Zauyogi is a relatively unremarkable member of Moro’s crew of galactic pirates. While not as impressive as the other bandits, he’s still responsible for widespread damage and was personally captured by Merus of the Galactic Patrol. Even the less prominent pirates in the group usually have some special skills or interesting ways of fighting when they’re causing trouble.
Zauyogi isn’t a particularly compelling character, and the story makes that clear by having him fight alongside Yamcha. Even though Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu team up against him, Zauyogi still manages to dominate them. Luckily, Goku suddenly appears and quickly defeats Zauyogi, just as he does with other members of the Bandit Brigade, saving everyone. Yamcha and his friends were fortunate that Goku showed up when he did.
Yunba’s Durable Body Helps Him Cheat Death in Dragon Ball
The Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga in Dragon Ball Super introduces a lot of different alien criminals, and some of them are similar to villains we’ve seen before. Yunba, while not the same as Botamo from Universe 6, has a similar build and fighting style. He’s one of the many bandits freed by Moro after Moro uses his second wish on the Dragon Balls.
Yunba is known as a formidable fighter – incredibly strong, resilient, and proficient with powerful weapons like rocket launchers. His signature move is a rapid spinning technique that can deflect energy blasts and harm opponents. This ability is so effective that he successfully blocked Krillin’s Destructo Discs. While he was able to keep pace with both Krillin and Master Roshi, he was ultimately defeated by a direct hit from Krillin’s fully powered Kamehameha.
Shimorekka Failed to Live Up to Moro’s Standards
Shimorekka is a notorious troublemaker who has repeatedly caused problems for the Galactic Patrol, even stealing Jaco’s raygun once. She briefly battles Piccolo alongside her teammates Seven-Three and Yunba before they go their separate ways. Several months later, they fight again, but Androids 17 and 18 interrupt the battle. This leads to a one-on-one fight between Shimorekka and Android 18, which Android 18 easily wins.
Shimorekka’s bad attitude and quickness allowed him to avoid defeat, but he couldn’t land a hit on his opponent. Android 18 was clearly the stronger fighter. Shimorekka might have become more powerful later on, showing off hidden abilities, but Moro abruptly killed him, ending his threat.
Yuzun’s Transformation Power-Up Isn’t Enough to Beat Vegeta
A few criminals from Moro’s army are exiled to Planet Yardrat and unexpectedly encounter Vegeta while he’s training to master Spirit Control. One of them, Yuzun, surprisingly withstands a Galick Beam powered by Spirit Control, causing him to transform into a much stronger form. Saganbo claims that once Yuzun transforms, he becomes invincible. Yuzun also has a unique ability to transfer his energy into objects, making them incredibly durable.
Yuzun tried to defeat Vegeta by throwing an entire building at him. However, Vegeta didn’t just block the attack – he sent the building right back at Yuzun, ultimately crushing and killing him. While Yuzun might have been able to beat most of the Z-Fighters assisting the Galactic Patrol, his fight with Vegeta proved he was outmatched and made him look foolish.
Miza Iwaza Kikaza Fusion Keeps Up With Roshi’s Ultra Instinct
Moro’s group of criminal allies is diverse, but noticeably short on female members. Miza, Iwaza, and Kikaza stand out as the exception. These three powerful warriors give Master Roshi and Krillin a tough fight, even with Roshi’s inappropriate behavior towards them. They’re strong enough to force Master Roshi to tap into his incredible Ultra Instinct ability, but ultimately, Roshi’s focused mind and lightning-fast reflexes prove too much for the bandits to handle.
The fighters combine in a strange way, becoming one incredibly strong opponent. This new, massive fighter, called Miza Iwaza Kikaza Fusion, quickly takes the upper hand, forcing Roshi and Krillin to defend themselves. Goku defeats it with a single blow, breaking the fusion. Without Goku’s intervention, Krillin and Roshi likely would have been defeated by Moro’s forces.
Moro’s Power Helps Saganbo Compete With Super Saiyan 3
Saganbo leads Moro’s Galactic Bandit Brigade and is a truly frightening opponent, fully deserving of his reputation. He’s a skilled opportunist who quickly climbed the ranks within Moro’s group. He’s incredibly strong and a ruthless fighter. Initially, Vegeta estimated Saganbo’s power to be similar to Trunks’, but Moro consistently enhances Saganbo’s abilities, eventually making him stronger than even Super Saiyan 3 Goku.
Saganbo overwhelms Gohan, Piccolo, and the Androids with his strength. Moro continues to increase Saganbo’s power, hoping he can rival the level of Perfected Super Saiyan Blue. However, these massive power-ups prove fatal for Saganbo, as his body can’t withstand the strain. This unfortunate death hints at the unstable fate that awaits Moro himself.
Seven-Three Is Dragon Ball’s Swiss Army Knife of Destruction
The Dragon Ball series has introduced many powerful characters, but none have reached the same level as Seven-Three. He’s an original member of Moro’s bandit crew and a unique alien Android. Seven-Three can copy the abilities of up to three different people, making him incredibly strong – especially after gaining Piccolo’s powers and Gohan’s Ultimate form. He even stores a copy of Moro’s power within himself.
Seven-Three is a tough opponent who can heal from injuries, fire powerful energy blasts, and use magic. He’s ultimately beaten by a combined attack from Gohan and Piccolo, with Android 17 delivering the final blow. Still, if Seven-Three gained the abilities of characters like Beast Gohan, Black Frieza, and Goku in his True Ultra Instinct form, he could become virtually unstoppable.
No Galactic Patrol Saga Villain Is Stronger Than Planet-Eater Moro
Dragon Ball is known for constantly increasing the power of its villains. This new villain is a dangerously strong magic user who has been imprisoned for millions of years – they were too powerful to simply kill. He combines the worst traits of previous major villains like King Piccolo, Buu, Cell, and Frieza, and is even more powerful than all of them combined.
Moro uses the Dragon Balls to become young and incredibly powerful again. He then absorbs another being, gaining even more abilities, including a perfected version of Ultra Instinct, similar to what Goku has mastered. At his peak, Moro is a match for Goku’s perfected Ultra Instinct. He becomes so strong that he has to merge with the planet Earth just to contain his power. The resulting battle is one of the most spectacular in the entire Dragon Ball series. Ultimately, Goku, boosted by a technique from Vegeta, is able to defeat Moro.
