During the Six Invitational Finals, details about the 2026 Rainbow Six Siege esports season were announced. These included the locations for major tournaments, the addition of a new region for competition, and updates to the Challenger Circuit.
Okay, so last year with the new version of R6 Siege was a bit rough for esports, but 2026 is looking way better! We’re finally getting a full schedule of Majors. Basically, teams can now qualify through a Season Kickoff and two Splits to get into the really big tournaments, including a mid-season showdown at the Esports World Cup. And of course, the whole season builds up to the awesome final at Six Invitational – it’s what we all wait for!
As a big Rainbow Six Esports fan, we got a first look at what 2026 had in store for us during the Munich Major, but it was at the Six Invitational 2026 finals that we finally found out the official dates and where all the matches would be held. It was so exciting to finally have the details!
Where and when is the first R6 Siege X Major of 2026?
The first R6 esports Major of 2026 happens in Salt Lake City, USA, from May 8 to May 17.
R6 Esports World Cup 2026, the second Major, and Six Invitational 2027
During the 2026 Rainbow Six Siege esports season, professional players will travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to compete in the Esports World Cup (EWC). This competition is now a regular part of the official esports circuit.
- The Rainbow Six Siege X EWC 2026 is from Aug. 11 to Aug. 14.
The second major tournament of the split will wrap things up. While the specific dates haven’t been announced yet, we do know when and where it will take place.
- R6 Major 2 of 2026 happens in Japan in November 2026.
The Six Invitational 2027, the final tournament of the year, promises to be an incredibly exciting and emotional event, hosted by what many consider the most dedicated and enthusiastic community in the world.
- Six Invitational 2027 is planned for February 2027, and it takes place in Brazil!
Rainbow Six esports teams can earn a spot in this event by collecting points throughout the year. The team that wins the 2026 Esports World Cup will automatically qualify.
The official circuit details
During the Six Invitational 2026 Finals, we also discovered big changes coming to R6 esports.
- A new region has been added to the global structure. Now, China has a separate official league for Rainbow Six Siege X esports, CNL.
- Challenger Series is a chance for smaller teams to make it to the top level of competition. These tournaments happen in March. Also, Ubisoft introduces a Challenger Circuit that unites all tier 2 tournaments globally.
- Season Kickoff starts the main circuit in April. It leads to the first Major.
- Stage 1 Regional Leagues are from June to July. It leads to the R6 EWC 2026.
- Stage 2 Regional Leagues are from September to October. It’s the qualification series for the second Major of 2026.
- In December 2026 and January 2027, Rainbow Six Siege teams can battle in the Last Chance Qualifier for Six Invitational 2027.
During the Six Invitational 2026, the Rainbow Six Siege team shared details about Year 11 content. This announcement happened just before the championship match on February 15th.
