Okay, so I just heard Martin Freeman is going to be in this new British drama called Oddly Flowers. From what I’ve read, it’s about a woman whose life gets totally shaken up after her dad passes away. Sounds like it could be a really emotional watch!
When Audrey finds herself alone for the Christmas holidays, she starts wondering about her unusual past and the strange disappearance of her pet mouse.
With the assistance of the delightful inventor Judd, she begins a transformative journey, traveling from Newfoundland to England to find the family she was kept from knowing.
What to Read Next
The film is adapted from Jessica Grant’s book, Come, Thou Tortoise, and features Emily Carey, known for her role in House of the Dragon, as the main character.
So, I just read on Screen Daily that Morgan Freeman is going to play my character’s dad, Walter – apparently he’s a pretty quirky scientist. And Sam Spruell is going to be my uncle, Thoby. Pretty cool casting, right?

Beyond the main players, the game also features some amazing voice talent – Alex Eling as Judd, and you might recognize Alistair Petrie, Lindsay Duncan, and Melanie Nicholls-King too. And get this – Jordan Canning isn’t just directing, she wrote and produced the whole thing! Talk about a multi-talented creator.
Canning shared that he’s been inspired by Jessica Grant’s novel for over 15 years, ever since he first read it and started envisioning it as a visual story.

Honestly, seeing this project finally come together with such an amazing cast is a dream come true – way better than I ever expected! It’s been a long road getting here, but having these incredible actors bring it all to life makes every second of the wait completely worth it. As a gamer, I’m so hyped to see how they portray the characters!
Production will start next week in Newfoundland, Canada, and then continue in Cornwall and London starting in late March.
Oddly Flowers will be released across Canada in 2027, with a European debut yet to be announced.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page magazine celebrating Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
