Maya Jama and Ruben Dias spend romantic Valentine’s weekend together after Love Island host said the only reason she is still living in England is ‘because my man is there’

Maya Jama gave fans a peek at her Valentine’s Day with boyfriend Ruben Dias, having returned to the UK to be with him for the weekend.

The host of Love Island All Stars, age 31, took a break from filming in South Africa to return to England and spend time with her partner, a 28-year-old footballer.

On Sunday morning, the couple were spotted having lunch together in Alderley Edge, following a romantic date the night before.

Maya looked effortlessly stylish in a camel coat featuring a striking collar, paired with heeled boots and fashionable black sunglasses.

She smiled brightly at her boyfriend as they walked towards the restaurant. Ruben looked sharp in a black leather jacket and graphic tee, and he was wearing a green baseball cap that shaded his face.

Okay, so Maya Jama totally documented her Valentine’s Day, and it was EVERYTHING. Seriously, she woke up to a mountain of presents from her boyfriend, who just happens to be a Manchester City footballer – I mean, dream life, right?! She shared it all on Instagram, and I’m officially living for it.

Maya shared a photo of the large bouquet of red roses Ruben gave her as a surprise, and then revealed he’d also gotten her a gift from Chanel.

Afterward, the couple went to dinner and had fun drawing portraits of each other.

Maya couldn’t stop laughing as she shared what they’d been up to, posting a picture of her artwork with the caption: ‘We went to a restaurant where you can draw on the table, and after a few glasses of wine, I felt like Picasso! I thought it looked amazing last night.’

She playfully shared a photo of Ruben diligently working on his own drawing, captioning it ‘Picasso number 2.’ She then added a string of laughing-crying emojis, hinting that his drawing wasn’t a very flattering portrait of her.

They started dating in 2024, but didn’t reveal their relationship to the public until April of last year.

I’m so happy to see Maya and Ruben doing so well! I read this week that Maya actually stays in the UK just for him, which is incredibly sweet. It really shows how strong their connection is, and honestly, it makes me so happy to see them thriving together.

She shared on Instagram that she feels like a better person when she’s traveling outside of England.

I believe everyone enjoys a walk, and I personally love cycling. I find it unsettling to ride a bike or walk alone for extended periods in England.

Everything suggests she’d be much happier living somewhere warm. Plus, all my work is based overseas anyway, so it would make sense for both of us.

She wrote with her video, ‘I don’t plan on leaving just yet, but honestly, the only reason I’m in England is for my boyfriend.’

The star is clearly missing her boyfriend, as she later posted a photo of herself wearing a Manchester City jersey with his number, 3.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! Last month, I found out that Maya and Ruben’s AMAZING new house – the one in Cheshire, it’s seriously incredible – was actually broken into! It happened while Maya was away filming in South Africa, can you imagine?! I was so worried for them when I heard!

Cheshire Police told the Daily Mail that items were stolen, and they are currently investigating the theft.

Reports indicate that burglars stole thousands of pounds worth of goods, including designer clothing, jewelry, and electronics.

The couple had just moved into the house they won through the Omaze prize draw, and it reportedly costs £20,000 a month to rent.

As a lifestyle expert, I always advise people to trust their instincts, and that’s exactly what Ruben did. He came home to a really unsettling scene – things were completely ransacked, and unfortunately, some valuables were gone. He immediately knew something was wrong and reported it, which was the right thing to do.

Someone close to the couple shared that they are heartbroken by the incident. The house holds a lot of meaning for them as it’s the first home they’ve shared together. Fortunately, they weren’t there when it happened, but they’re deeply disturbed that someone violated their privacy.

Maya was thrilled to move into her first home with Ruben and shared photos and videos of it on social media, according to The Sun.

They used to have a long-distance relationship, with her traveling between London and his city apartment. This new home is especially meaningful to them because it’s the first place they’ve shared as a couple.

Cheshire Police responded to a burglary report at a home on Woodbrook Road in Alderley Edge around 11:10 PM on Wednesday, January 28th, according to a statement to the Daily Mail.
