Harry Styles has shared how taking a two-year break from touring and making music allowed him to learn the importance of slowing down and taking things easier.
The singer’s life took an extraordinary turn when, at just 16, they rose to fame as a member of the boyband One Direction.
So knowing how to pause and take time for himself was somewhat tricky for the musician.
Following the conclusion of his Love On Tour in July 2023, the 32-year-old Grammy winner decided he needed some time off.
During his break from work, Harry shared that simple pleasures like drinking coffee in Rome, running marathons, and spending time with his nieces and nephews have brought him joy.
When the COVID pandemic began, Harry drove all the way from London to Rome, hoping to find some peace and quiet after spending years on tour.
He explained that his time in Rome helped him learn to relax. He’d become accustomed to a fast-paced life, always rushing around, but sitting at a café and enjoying a simple coffee made him realize how long it had been since he’d just allowed himself to slow down and savor a moment.
I recently discovered, thanks to my friends, that meals are about more than just eating – they’re about enjoying the experience and being present in the moment.
The Romans really excel at this – it’s what they’re known for. They’ve taught me a unique and valuable approach.
During his career hiatus, Harry has become an uncle – a new role he has loved and cherished.
Harry’s sister, Gemma, shared that Harry is a very involved uncle who often helps with babysitting.
He explained to The Times that during this period, his sister had a baby, and he realized how important it was to be present. He said that normally, he would have missed out on those early moments, but being there to watch his niece grow up made it clear what truly mattered to him. He felt strongly that being with his family was where he needed to be.
This news follows Harry’s recent announcement that he’ll be performing a special concert to mark the launch of his latest album.
Fans have criticized him, calling him ‘greedy’ and ‘out of touch,’ after discovering extremely high prices for tickets to his Together Together tour.
After receiving some feedback, Harry announced the show on Instagram and revealed that tickets would be priced at only £20.
Niall Horan, formerly of One Direction, will perform at the Co-Op Arena on March 6th, coinciding with the release of his latest album, KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY.
The show is happening just over a week after Harry is scheduled to perform again at the BRIT Awards, held at a venue he partially owns.
Harry announced on social media that fans can start requesting tickets for the show on Friday.
He announced a single-night performance in Manchester at the Co-op Live arena on March 6th. Ticket requests will start on Friday, and more information will be shared soon.
Harry’s ‘Together Together’ tour tickets became available last month, and he’s scheduled to perform an impressive 12 shows at Wembley Stadium in London.
When tickets for Harry’s tour went on sale, many fans criticized him, calling him ‘greedy’ and ‘out of touch’ because of the very high prices.
