Genshin Impact’s Version 6.4 update, called “Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind,” will be released on February 25th, 2026. This update includes the highly anticipated playable character Varka, a new banner called the Mondstat Chronicle Banner, and the voice chat feature players have been waiting for.

Main Event (Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind)

The main event for Genshin Impact Version 6.4 will take place in Mondstadt. Players who complete the event will receive a 4-star Catalyst skin called Phantasmal Gift: Star Omen.

Mini Event (Sightseeing With Friends)

Okay, so there’s this event in Genshin Impact where you basically go around taking photos with your characters at different spots. It’s pretty chill, and the best part is you can snag 420 Primogems just for doing it! Definitely worth checking out.

Mini Event (Operation Stronghold Defense)

In this event, you’ll protect your fortress from waves of enemies. Instead of directly controlling characters, you’ll rely on automated defenses that use elemental reactions and attacks to defeat them. Completing the event will reward you with 420 Primogems.

Varka: 5-Star Anemo Claymore

Players have been eagerly waiting for Varka, and he’s finally arrived! He’s a powerful 5-star character who uses a claymore and focuses on Anemo damage. Hailing from Mondstadt, Varka is the star of this update and fights with two blades. What makes him unique is his ability to add Hydro, Pyro, Electro, and Cryo effects to his claymore attacks, letting him deal different types of elemental damage.

So, this character has a really cool skill where he jumps when I hold it – super useful for getting around and exploring! Also, his damage gets a big boost if I team him up with another Anemo character, but Varka doesn’t count. Re-runs

The first banner update will feature Varka, along with a return of the Flins banner. Later in the update, Skirk and Escoffier will be available again. Plus, the Chronicled Wish banner is back, focusing on 5-star characters from Mondstadt!

New Boss: Radiant Moongecko

Radiant Moongecko is a new boss found in the Nod Krai region. Defeating it will reward you with materials needed to ascend Varka.
