Matt and Ross Duffer, known for creating suspenseful shows, recently executive produced the new horror series, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.
Even though the creators are moving to Paramount with their new agreement, they still have a few shows coming out soon. One of these is Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, which premieres on Netflix on March 26th. Netflix recently released a short preview, available below. The series won’t rely on typical scary moments, but the preview suggests a creepy and suspenseful atmosphere, filled with mysteries and building tension.
The short preview focuses on a wedding that doesn’t seem joyful. It opens with the bride, Rachel, walking down the aisle as a voice says, “I’m sorry.”
The video shows several characters apologizing, and the caption asks, “Are you sure he’s the right person?”
The new horror series, titled Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, creates a chilling atmosphere as it follows a couple during the week before their wedding. Don’t worry, the title itself hints at the tragic outcome – it’s not giving anything away!
Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is a story that takes place over a week, showing Rachel and Nicky as they prepare for their wedding.
Haley Z. Boston, who previously wrote for shows like Cabinet of Curiosities and Brand New Cherry Flavor, is the creator and showrunner of this series. Weronika Tofilska, an Emmy nominee known for her work on Baby Reindeer, will direct four episodes and also serve as an executive producer. Directors Axelle Carolyn (The Haunting of Bly Manor) and Lisa Brühlmann (Killing Eve, Servant) are also joining the project.
The upcoming film, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, features Camila Morrone (known from Daisy Jones & The Six and The Night Manager) as Rachel and Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus, Overcompensating) as Nicky. The cast also includes Jennifer Jason Leigh (Fargo, Annihilation) as Victoria, Ted Levine (Monk, Big Sky) as Boris, Gus Birney (Shining Vale, The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window) as Portia, Jeff Wilbusch (Unorthodox, Oslo) as Jules, Karla Crome (The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde, Lazarus) as Nell, Sawyer Fraser (The Good Doctor) as Jude, and Zlatko Burić (Triangle of Sadness).
