Victoria Pedretti & Lola Tung’s New R-Rated Witch Horror Adaptation Revealed In First Forbidden Fruits Trailer

A new trailer for the upcoming horror film, Forbidden Fruits, showcases a particularly cruel group of witches and a powerful, female-led coven. The film is a production of Shudder and Independent Film Company.

Forbidden Fruits tells the story of Apple, a worker at the Free Eden store, who leads a secret, all-female cult in the mall basement after closing. She’s joined by her friends Cherry and Fig. Their carefully constructed sisterhood is threatened when a new employee, Pumpkin, arrives and forces them to confront their hidden flaws, or risk facing a dangerous outcome.

Shudder and Independent Film Company have released a first look at their upcoming horror film, Forbidden Fruits. The movie features a strong female cast, including Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain, and Gabrielle Union. The teaser reveals a darker side of Lola Tung (known from The Summer I Turned Pretty) as she’s drawn into a cruel witch coven led by Lili Reinhart (Riverdale). Forbidden Fruits will premiere on March 27, 2026.

This film centers around a group of famous actresses who gather at a mall boutique to practice witchcraft. However, the coven’s leader, Apple (Reinhart), wants to bring a new member, Pumpkin (Tung), into the fold. This causes conflict as Apple tries to manipulate the other women and establish herself as the ultimate leader. Meredith Alloway, who previously directed ‘Deep Tissue’ and ‘Interior Teresa’, directed the movie, and Lily Houghton (known for ‘Blame’) co-wrote the screenplay with Alloway.

Both Tung and Reinhart have starred in popular shows and movies aimed at young adults. Reinhart is best known for playing Betty Cooper on The CW’s Riverdale for seven seasons. She’s also been in Look Both Ways and Chemical Hearts, and will soon lead the film adaptation of the novel The Love Hypothesis.

Lana Condor became famous for starring in the popular Prime Video series The Summer I Turned Pretty, based on the book by Jenny Han. Even though the first season finished airing months ago, it’s still one of the most-watched shows on the platform. Condor played the main character, Isabel “Belly” Conklin, and due to the show’s success and fan demand, a movie continuation has been announced.

Forbidden Fruits will premiere on March 27, 2026, in theaters before arriving on Shudder.
