Ore Oduba’s ex wife Portia reveals she will ‘never marry again’ as she says the idea has been ‘ruined’ after her marriage broke down following the TV presenter’s porn addiction

Ore Oduba, who won Strictly Come Dancing, recently revealed he battled a pornography addiction for over three decades, and this admission appears to have deeply affected his former wife, Portia Jett.

Last year, the 40-year-old winner of Strictly Come Dancing revealed to Paul Brunson on his podcast, We Need To Talk, that he had struggled with a porn addiction that he described as ‘life destroying’.

Following her divorce from Portia in 2024 after nine years of marriage, the former television researcher says she doesn’t plan to get married again, as the experience has left her with a negative view of it.

Portia, a mother of two young children and partner to a TV presenter, shared that her perspective on marriage differs from typical advice, and that’s what she’d tell her kids.

She said going through a divorce was the most difficult and stressful experience of her life, and she would never want to repeat it.

Portia is currently dating Joshua Saxon Birch, a 37-year-old businessman from Britain and Germany who specializes in data management.

She’s now looking for long-term commitment in the form of a ‘promise ring’.

She shares two children, Roman, seven, and Genie, four, with Ore whom, they co-parent.

It comes after Ore revealed he contemplated suicide during the darkest days of his porn addiction.

Ore has revealed that a childhood addiction, beginning at age nine after exposure to adult images, led him to consider suicide.

The TV presenter shared a deeply personal story this week, describing the moment he felt his life had reached its lowest point.

On Tuesday’s episode of the Hurt to Healing podcast, Ore explained that he was making a lot of self-destructive choices and knew they weren’t healthy. He realized he needed to change his lifestyle and the people he surrounded himself with, because if things continued as they were, he feared the consequences would be severe.

I realized I was at a point where I either had to prioritize my own well-being or continue pushing forward to help others. It’s difficult to talk about, but I was experiencing thoughts of suicide.

‘I was thinking I can’t carry on like this. So, I knew I had to save myself, I had to save my life.

When someone’s life is at stake, there’s only one thing I can do: I have to put an end to this.

He publicly revealed in November that he’s been struggling with a pornography addiction, explaining he’s spent a significant amount of money – ‘thousands and thousands’ – on adult content. He shared that this began when he was first exposed to adult images at the age of nine.

Ore told the We Need To Talk podcast that it was only 18 months ago that he ‘escaped my addiction’.

He explained that it took him three decades, the loss of two loved ones, and a divorce to overcome his shame and finally share his story. For thirty years, he’d kept silent.

The dad of two children decided to share his story now to raise awareness about kids being exposed to inappropriate content on social media.

With deep emotion, Ore explained that he was risking everything to protect his own children and to help other parents navigate a world where young people can easily stumble into harmful situations online.

He admitted to being mostly terrified, feeling that this moment marks a major turning point and the start of a new chapter in his life.
