Clash of three regions
A major shift in the competitive Rainbow Six Siege scene has occurred. Traditionally dominant Brazilian teams surprisingly failed to make it to the championship match at both the Esports World Cup 2025 and the Munich Major. Instead, a European team took the title at the World Cup, and a North American team won the Munich Major, signaling a change in the top contenders.
South America / Brazil
Three of the top six teams are from Brazil, and two of those teams are now competing in a match that will determine which one is eliminated.
- FURIA lost to Wildcard during the Group Stage at Six Invitational 2026. Then, the RE:LO:AD 2025 champions were defeated and sent to the lower brackets by Team Falcons.
- Fluxo W7M already lost to another Brazilian team, FaZe, during the Playoffs. Their Group Stage loss was to Team Secret.
- FaZe players have been representing their region the best at Six Invitational 2026, at least until the Finals. They still lost to G2 in the groups, but these opponents are already out. FaZe defeated the best North American team in the playoffs, Wildcard.
Europe
This region has two teams competing, and many Rainbow Six esports analysts predict Falcons will be the strongest contender at the 2026 Six Invitational. Betting odds also suggest they’re a top pick, though of course, anything can happen in esports!
- Team Secret fell to the lower brackets after losing to Falcons. The R6 EWC 2025 champions were #1 in the group, with no losses.
- Team Falcons had a tough Group Stage, losing to FURIA and Wildcard. In the Six Invitational 2026 Playoffs, Falcons had a revenge on FURIA.
North America
M80’s strong performance at the 2025 Major in Munich boosted the confidence of North American Rainbow Six fans. They had previously disappointed at the Six Invitational, losing to Spacestation Gaming and then being knocked out of the tournament by G2 Esports.
Just one team from North America is still competing for the championship. Every game they play now could be their last, as a loss means they’re out of the competition.
- Wildcard defeated Spacestation in the upper brackets but then lost to FaZe. Their Group Stage run was flawless.
We’ll not only be able to watch the groundbreaking first Six Invitational for the updated game R6 Siege X, but also learn about what’s coming next for the competitive scene and future content.
We’ll share details about the future of Rainbow Six Siege esports, including the 2026 roadmap, on February 14th. The plans for Year 11, Season 1, and beyond will be announced on February 15th.
