I just finished watching this Irish thriller called Smother, and it totally hooked me! It’s about a mom, Val Ahern, whose husband dies suddenly, and she starts digging into what really happened. It’s got a really tense vibe and follows her journey over three seasons, from 2021 to 2023, as she tries to figure out the truth, and it involves her and her three daughters. It’s streaming in the UK now if you’re looking for something gripping to watch.
You can now watch the series on U in the UK. Written by Kate O’Riordan, it’s set in County Clare, Ireland, and stars Dervla Kirwan as Val. Niamh Walsh, Gemma-Leah Devereux, and Seána Kerslake play Val’s daughters, Jenny, Anna, and Grace.
