Nicolas Cage is giving us a new take on his Spider-Man character! A first look and details about the cast have just been released for the upcoming series. Originally announced last year, the show – titled Spider-Noir – will bring Cage back to the role he played in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but this time in a live-action format.
This series, set in the 1930s, centers on a weary private investigator in New York City. He’s a man haunted by a personal tragedy and forced to confront his history, all while secretly being the city’s only superhero.
New photos from the upcoming Marvel show on MGM+ and Prime Video have been released, featuring Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly/Spider-Noir, including shots of him in costume, alongside other members of the cast.

I was really excited to see some familiar faces popping up in the cast! Lamorne Morris, who I loved in Fargo, plays Robbie Robertson – he’s Ben’s best friend and a journalist. Li Jun Li, from Sinners, is Cat Hardy, and she totally owns the scene as the star of New York’s hottest nightclub. And Karen Rodriguez, who I’ve seen in The Hunting Wives, is playing Janet, Ben’s secretary, and she seems like a really smart, tough, and dependable character.
The cast includes Brendan Gleeson, known for H is for Hawk, Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire, Lukas Haas of The Righteous Gemstones, Cameron Britton who starred in The Umbrella Academy, Cary Christopher from Weapons, and Michael Kostroff, famous for his role in The Wire.

The cast also includes Scott MacArthur from No Hard Feelings, Joe Massingill from Barry, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull from I Love LA, Andrew Caldwell from The Matrix Resurrections, Amy Aquino from Bosch, Andrew Robinson from Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Kai Caster from Yellowstone.
Okay, so I’m super excited about the Spider-Noir show! It’s going to be led by Oren Uziel, who worked on 22 Jump Street, and Steve Lightfoot, who did The Punisher. Plus, the team behind the amazing Spider-Verse movies – Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal – are involved as executive producers, which gives me a lot of hope for this series!

Amazon MGM Studios is excited to add a Noir series to the Marvel universe, offering a fresh and distinct experience for Prime Video viewers around the world, according to executive Vernon Sanders.
Nicolas Cage is perfectly cast as our new superhero, and we’re thrilled to be working with the experienced team of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and everyone at Sony to build on this story in a genuine and exciting way.
Spider-Noir will stream on Prime Video.
