Apple TV is launching a new show that’s a fantastic continuation of a beloved science-fiction series, nine years after the original ended. With hits like Silo, Severance, Dark Matter, For All Mankind, Foundation, Murderbot, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Apple TV has firmly established itself as the leading platform for science-fiction television.
With a third season of Silo and more episodes planned for its other shows, Apple TV is clearly dedicated to continuing these stories, solidifying its position as the leading streaming service for this type of content. Although it doesn’t currently have a classic, all-time great sci-fi series, a new show coming in 2026 looks poised to fill that role.
Orphan Black Is A 10/10 Sci-Fi Show

Many consider Orphan Black to be one of the greatest science fiction shows ever made. The series stars Tatiana Maslany, who brilliantly portrays 17 different clones, starting with Sarah Manning. Sarah is determined to safeguard her family and uncover the truth behind the cloning project. Throughout the show, she connects with her ‘sisters,’ including Alison Hendrix, a seemingly ordinary suburban mom; Cosima Niehaus, a passionate and independent scientist; the determined Helena; and the ambitious Rachel Duncan.
Tatiana Maslany’s performance is exceptional; she brings a unique and believable personality to each clone, making scenes between them feel incredibly natural. But the show’s brilliance goes beyond her acting. It features surprising yet well-developed plot twists that keep you guessing, and boasts a cast of compelling characters beyond the clones, including Mrs. S and Felix Dawkins. The series also delves into thought-provoking themes like identity, free will, the right to control one’s own body, and the ethical implications of scientific advancements.
The sci-fi series Orphan Black wrapped up in 2017 after five seasons on BBC America and Space (now CTV Sci-Fi Channel), providing a good ending for viewers. While the story continued with the podcast Orphan Black: Next Chapter, featuring narration by Tatiana Maslany, and a spinoff series, Orphan Black: Echoes, the spinoff was unfortunately canceled after just one season. Now, Apple TV+ is releasing a new show that should appeal to fans of the Orphan Black universe.
Apple TV’s Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed Is The Perfect Orphan Black Follow-Up

Apple TV+’s upcoming series, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, is a dark comedy thriller starring Tatiana Maslany as Paula, a newly divorced mom. According to an official description, Paula gets caught up in a wild situation involving blackmail, murder, and even youth soccer! While dealing with a personal crisis and a fight over her child, she starts investigating a crime she saw, which unexpectedly reveals a much bigger plot.
Aside from Tatiana Maslany’s involvement, the new series feels like a natural continuation of Orphan Black due to its similarities to the character of Alison. Like Paula, Alison is a suburban mom who unexpectedly gets caught up in a dangerous world of crime and secrets while dealing with personal struggles and raising a family. From intense basement interrogations during a casual get-together to discreetly dealing drugs while running for school trustee, Alison has plenty of darkly funny moments, and Maslany delivers a brilliant performance in each scene.
If you loved Orphan Black, especially Alison’s storylines, you won’t want to miss Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. Starring Tatiana Maslany alongside Jake Johnson, Brandon Flynn, and Murray Bartlett, the series kicks off with a two-episode premiere on Apple TV on May 20th. New episodes will be released weekly through July 15th, for a total of ten episodes. Each episode is a quick half-hour, shorter than the 43-45 minute episodes of Orphan Black.
