Okay, so I just heard some awesome news! Stephen Graham is coming back for a sequel to Greyhound! If you haven’t seen it, it’s a really intense movie starring Tom Hanks – he plays a Navy commander during World War II, and he’s responsible for getting a huge convoy of ships full of soldiers and supplies safely across the ocean. The first one dropped on Apple TV during the pandemic, and it was a total nail-biter. I’m really excited to see what happens next!
Rumors about a second movie started circulating four years ago, and now it’s official: filming is underway. Tom Hanks and Karl Urban will reprise their roles as Ernst Krause and Charlie Cole, respectively.
Elisabeth Shue returns as Evie, and according to Deadline, Jack Patten—known for his role in Robin Hood—is also joining the movie.

In Greyhound 2, I’ll be right there with Captain Krause and his team as they fight to turn the tables in the war, taking the battle from the beaches of Normandy all the way to the Pacific. It’s gonna be a wild ride!
Tom Hanks is writing the script again, similar to the original film, and Aaron Schneider will direct once more.

Tom Hanks previously complimented how the first movie was released on streaming during the pandemic, telling The TODAY Show that Apple TV+ “saved the day” because they allowed people to see a fantastic film that otherwise wouldn’t have been seen due to the circumstances.
The film could have been shelved, but it’s a short, 88-minute story that really connects with what everyone is experiencing today.
When we made the film, we didn’t realize what it would become. We simply aimed to create a raw, minimalist story about the challenges of surviving in the North Atlantic during 1942, focusing on the procedures and actions people took.

Graham recently had a very successful year, winning multiple Emmys and a Golden Globe for his performance in the Netflix series Adolescence.
I was so shocked to hear that the actor actually lost his Golden Globe for a little while! Apparently, the day after the awards, during a crazy airport rush, he accidentally left the case containing it behind in Atlanta. He explained to Capital FM that he definitely hadn’t been carrying it with his hand luggage because, well, it’s heavy! He just put it in his checked bag and momentarily forgot about it.
Greyhound 2 is yet to confirm a release date. Greyhound is streaming on Apple TV.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can find it in newsagents or order it online for only £8.99.
