Don McLean and his girlfriend, Paris Dylan, recently marked their 10-year anniversary. There’s a significant age difference between the two.
Okay, so I just saw the sweetest thing online! The legendary singer, who’s 80 years young, publicly called his girlfriend – who’s turning 32 later this month – the ‘love of his life’ on Instagram. It’s just so lovely to see, and really proves that age is just a number when it comes to finding connection!
The couple first gained attention because of their large age difference – the model is much younger than McLean’s daughter. However, they recently marked ten years as a couple.
I was so touched to see Don McLean, the incredible artist behind ‘American Pie,’ share a lovely photo on social media recently. It showed him and his wife at the White House back in May – a really sweet moment!
In the photo, McLean had his arm around his girlfriend’s waist, and she playfully rested her hand on his shoulder.
She wore a hot pink blazer minidress while he wore an all-black suit.

McLean and Dylan began dating in 2016, making their relationship public shortly after Thanksgiving.
She began working for him as a social media manager, and they soon started dating.
They’ve been in a relationship for a while, but generally keep it private and are rarely seen together in public.
She was there for him in 2021 when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and she supported him throughout the ceremony.
She accompanied him as a guest to a White House state dinner two years ago, where they met with the president of Kenya.
Joe and Jill Biden, while they were in the White House, hosted a state dinner for Kenyan President William Ruto and invited McLean and his girlfriend to attend.
In May 2024, he discussed his relationship with his younger model girlfriend, and also talked about his 2016 arrest for domestic violence and his previous divorce.
The singer, who once said he reduced his daughter’s inheritance from $3 million, has been married twice before. He and Carol Sauvion were married from 1969 to 1972, and later he married Patrisha Shnier, a relationship that lasted from 1987 to 2016.
In early January 2016, he was arrested at his Maine home on a domestic violence charge, but the case was ultimately dropped as part of a plea agreement.
Shortly after the incident, Shnier filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage.
During a 2024 interview, he revealed he had cut his daughter, Jackie McLean, out of his will after they had a public disagreement.
In a June 2021 interview with Rolling Stone, his daughter Jackie, now 36, claimed she experienced years of emotional and psychological abuse at the hands of her father.
