Danniella Westbrook was hardly recognizable when she left the hospital on Tuesday, as her face was noticeably swollen.
The former EastEnders actress, 52, has undergone extensive facial reconstructive surgery in Dubai.
She’s had several surgeries to repair damage to her face caused by her past cocaine use and osteoporosis, which had led to a sunken appearance.
This happened shortly after Danniella was hospitalized with trouble breathing, a problem she’s been dealing with for years because of a damaged septum.
This week, she underwent cosmetic surgery at Gargash Hospital in Dubai. The procedures included a full facelift, neck lift, brow lift, and reconstruction of her lips and nose.
New pictures show her in her room in her hospital gown before going under the knife.
After her surgery, she was wheeled out wearing a pink dress, visibly showing the effects of the procedure.
Danniella used surgeon Dr Parviz Sadigh, who has carried out operations on her in the past.
Last month, Danniella shared a post on Instagram expressing her gratitude and respect for her surgeon, Dr. Parviz Sadigh, and acknowledging his dedication.
‘Everyday I grow and glow xxxx thank you and roll on Feb for the next operation’.
The surgery comes after in December Danniella was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties.
Originally cast in the movie Tales From The Trap, she was replaced due to health problems stemming from a long-standing issue with her collapsed septum.
I was really worried when I heard the news. Apparently, someone close to her told the Daily Mail that she had to go to the doctor because she was having trouble breathing. It’s been a while since she’s been on screen – not since mid-2016, actually – and this just added to my concern.
Danniella was originally cast in ‘Tales From The Trap,’ alongside Liv Hawkins from ‘Love Island,’ to play a tough, gun-selling grandmother. However, she has now been replaced by Kim Tiddy, known for her role in ‘Slow Horses’.
Someone close to Danniella revealed in December that she was hospitalized on Friday with trouble breathing, forcing her to cancel her appearance on the show ‘Tales From The Trap’.
She was scheduled to return to acting in a film playing a tough grandmother who sells AK-47s to criminals. It’s a shame, because many people were excited to see her in that role.
The TV star first became well-known at 16 on the show EastEnders, but her cocaine use led producers to fire her and remove her character from the show in 1996.
Danniella recently announced she was undergoing extensive facial reconstruction surgery, describing the procedure as ‘very long’.
The actress has had several surgeries to repair damage to her face caused by past cocaine use and osteoporosis, which had led to a noticeable loss of facial structure.
In 2023, she revealed she was unhappy with the outcome of her facial reconstruction. She’d waited seven years to find a surgeon who could perform the procedure, as her septum was in poor condition.
Danniella was last on television in 2016, competing on Celebrity Big Brother. She ultimately won the show, finishing in first place.
She first gained public attention by competing on reality shows, appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ in 2003 and ‘Dancing On Ice’ in 2010. In 2013, she joined the cast of the Channel 4 soap opera, ‘Hollyoaks’.
In April 2023, the actress underwent several cosmetic procedures in Turkey, hoping to address significant facial sagging.
After struggling with drug use in 2002 that caused her septum to collapse, she had several cosmetic procedures. These included a thread lift, liposuction on her cheeks and lips, fat grafting to her chin, and jawline contouring.
She had wanted a reconstructive surgery for seven years, but couldn’t find a doctor willing to perform it because her nasal septum had completely deteriorated.
Danniella had previously shared that she needed five surgeries to fix damage to her face caused by a past cocaine addiction and osteoporosis. She initially intended to have the procedures done through the National Health Service, but ultimately paid for them herself, even though many clinics offered to do the work for free.
Danniella has openly struggled with drug use, and she underwent surgery to rebuild her nose after her nasal septum was damaged by cocaine use.
During the peak of her addiction, she reportedly used up to five grams of cocaine daily, spending nearly £250,000 on the drug.
The actress, now sober, has spoken about wanting to fix the damage to her face and is seeking medical help as she rebuilds her life.
