Hansen, who is part Norwegian, was discovered by photographer Peter Gert at age 14.
After Gert introduced Hansen to Wilhelmina Cooper—a former model and the founder of Wilhelmina Models—Cooper signed the teenager to her agency.
Hansen then moved from Staten Island into New York City to get a jump on her new career.
She picked up modeling jobs while studying at the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan.
One of her early jobs was modeling for the cover of Seventeen magazine, as she had a relatable, girl-next-door look.
Years later she graduated to the covers of Vogue and Glamour where sick 1970s glamour was key.
And she often showed off her figure in sexy low-cut dresses on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.
The charismatic star then was in a Calvin Klein campaign and posed for Revlon as well as Courreges.
After that, she pursued acting, appearing in films like They All Laughed alongside Audrey Hepburn and Hard To Hold with Rick Springfield.
Later was seen in a Guerlain ad and campaigns for Italian fashion house Versace.
She married Keith in Mexico in 1983, and they currently live in Connecticut. They have two daughters: Theodora and Alexandra.
She models for Vogue and has been in French Playboy.
Her husband, Richards, is a legendary musician, celebrated for his iconic guitar skills and rock ‘n’ roll persona.
Keith Richards is one of the original members of the Rolling Stones, and he plays guitar, sings backup vocals, and is a main songwriter for the band.
Keith Richards and Mick Jagger’s collaboration as songwriters is legendary and has produced some of the most popular songs ever written.
Richards was born in and grew up in Dartford, Kent.
