Justin Baldoni is looking to sell his large California home while he continues to deal with a legal dispute involving Blake Lively.
The actor and filmmaker, age 42, and his wife, Emily, are selling their house in Ojai, California. Ojai is located northwest of Los Angeles, in Ventura County.
I was shocked to see that Tony Baldoni and his wife have listed their incredible estate for sale – and for $8.88 million, no less! I saw the details on Realtor.com, and it’s a truly stunning property.
Selling the mansion at that price would give them a profit of over $6 million, since Baldoni originally bought it for only $2.2 million in 2020.
The couple has invested a lot of money in their property, having completed major renovations to the Spanish-style house.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Baldoni’s representatives for comment.
It’s unknown whether the lawsuit Blake Lively has filed against Justin Baldoni – stemming from their work together on the movie ‘It Ends With Us’ and alleging sexual harassment – influenced the decision to sell the property.
Baldoni strongly refuted Lively’s claims and even sued her for defamation, but that lawsuit was later dropped.
The actor put his Ojai property, located in the Santa Paula area, up for sale on February 5th, right after an advertisement to rent it was taken down.
The rental listing charged an eye-popping $40,000 per month for the property.
Baldoni’s home on the estate has five bedrooms and spans 5,200 square feet, all set on 10 acres at the base of the Topa Topa Mountains.
Besides the main house, the property includes a small guest house or staff quarters. There’s also a unique yoga dome and a separate guest dome, both of which were brought over from Poland.
The smaller buildings on the property were added during a two-year renovation to the main mansion.
The property is described as a unique and private estate, offering plenty of space and flexibility – it’s more than just a house.
The property listing describes Baldoni’s home as a luxurious space built for both comfortable living and hosting events, offering a unique lifestyle for the area.
The listing describes the property as carefully planned and built to create a sense of balance, smooth movement, and peacefulness. Health and wellbeing were key considerations in the design.
The mansion features a high-quality air filtration system, which could be a big benefit for potential buyers concerned about wildfire smoke or smog from Los Angeles.
The property listing highlights this as a special chance to own a home – whether you’re looking for a place to live full-time, a vacation getaway, or an investment property.
The master bedroom also boasts electromagnetic frequency shielding.
The property includes a saltwater pool and a raised hot tub, plus a special orchard designed to naturally renew itself.
Residents can enjoy a variety of recreational options, such as basketball, pickleball, a fully-equipped gym, and a unique, lit-up trampoline built into the ground.
The yard features a relaxing koi pond with a waterfall, and a fire pit for get-togethers.
The property offers ample room for leisurely walks with its network of paths, and electric vehicle owners will appreciate the on-site charging stations.
As someone who really values peace of mind, I think a modern security system is a huge plus for any home, and it’s great to know this one also includes a fire safety system. It’s such a relief to have both covered!
According to a 2023 interview with Architectural Digest, Justin Baldoni decorated much of his home with furniture from Pottery Barn. The design was inspired by trips he and Emily took to Mexico, and the natural beauty of the Ojai area.
We had a clear idea of the look we wanted. After visiting Tulum and other areas of Mexico, we took photos of things like lamps and couches for inspiration. We then created a Pinterest board to collect all the designs we liked, which helped us develop our vision.
Baldoni mentioned his mother is an expert in feng shui, and she helped with the interior design of the space.
Baldoni explained that her mother has always used feng shui in their homes, and it consistently creates a positive atmosphere and good luck. Because of this, they specifically designed their new house using feng shui principles.
Emily shared that the beautiful scenery of Ojai inspired their approach to design.
We’re so lucky to live in beautiful Ojai, and we really wanted that feeling to come through in our home. The landscape here – the mountains, rocks, and water – is incredibly natural and stunning. We wanted to create a peaceful, restorative space to come home to.
The trial for Lively’s sexual harassment case against Baldoni was originally scheduled for March 9th, but has been delayed until May 18th.
