Genshin Impact Zibai Build Guide: Kits Explained
Zibai is a powerful character who fights on the field and specializes in Geo damage. She’s particularly effective at creating and utilizing Lunar Crystalize reactions. She improves her own abilities through passive talents, and can even change Hydro Crystalize into Lunar Crystalize. Her combat style centers around her elemental skill and the Radiance Points it generates.
Heaven and Earth Made Manifest (Skill)
Once she uses her ability, Zibai enters a special state called Lunar Face Shift Mode, where her attacks become infused with Geo energy. This activates a Phase Shift Radiance Point bar, which she uses to unleash powerful Lunar Crystalize damage and summon a horse spirit named Spirit Steed Stride. Zibai can accumulate up to 100 Phase Shift Radiance Points, and needs 70 of them to summon her horse spirit.
Zibai earns 10 Radiance Points each second, and an extra 5 points with every normal attack. She also gains 35 points from the Lunar Crystalize reaction every 4 seconds, but this bonus requires her to be played on an Ascendant Gleam team.
Once the character reaches 70 energy, her skill can be used again to summon a horse that deals both Geo and Lunar damage. This special mode lasts for 15 seconds, and the skill has an 18-second cooldown. For the best possible damage, it’s recommended to include two characters with the ‘Nod Krai’ trait in your team to activate the ‘Ascendant Gleam’ bonus.
Tri-Sphere Eminence (Burst)
Her ultimate ability has a 15-second cooldown and costs 60 energy to use. When activated, it deals area-of-effect damage twice: once as Geo damage, and again as Lunar Crystalize damage. Additionally, using her ultimate extends the duration of her Lunar Face Shift Mode by 1.7 seconds.
Passive Skills
- The Selenic Adeptus Descends: Zibai summons Spirit Steed Stride 2nd Lunar Crystalize; hit damage increased by 60% based on her defence.
- Layered Peaks Pierce the Cloud: Other Geo teammates increase Zibai’s defence by 15%, and Hydro teammates increase her elemental mastery by 60 each.
- Moonsign Bendiction: The Coursing Sun and Moon: With every 100 defence, Zibai has Lunar Crystalize damage will be increased by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 14%. Additionally, when Zibai is at the party, the moonsign level will increase by 1.

| C6 | Her Phase Shift Radiance bar accumulates efficiency increases by 50%. Spirit Steed’s Stride now consumes 100 points, and every point consumed above 70 grants a 1.6% DMG bonus.

Zibai is already very effective at dealing damage with her base form (C0). If you want to significantly increase her damage without investing in her full constellation (C6), her second constellation (C2) is a great option. Further constellations are best reserved for players who are willing to spend a lot of resources.

Best Team Comps for Zibai in Genshin Impact
Premium Teams
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zibai | Columbina | Illuga C6 | Gorou C6 |
| Zibai | Aino C6 | Illuga C6 | Xilonen |
Zibai deals most of her damage through Lunar Crystalize, so building a team around that reaction is ideal. Using Geo and Hydro characters together allows Zibai to strengthen her abilities with her passive talent. We’ll use Columbina and Aino to consistently apply Hydro, which boosts Lunar Crystalize damage. Illuga will provide a further damage boost to Lunar Crystalize with his burst, and he’ll act as a supportive character for both of our teams.
Gorou will boost Zibai’s damage with his special defense buff. Meanwhile, Xilonen will make enemies weaker to both Geo and Hydro attacks, also increasing Zibai’s damage output.
F2P Teams
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zibai | Illuga | Aino | Gorou |
| Zibai | Aino | Gorou | Xingqiu |
While Zibai’s free-to-play team isn’t as powerful as her paid team, it’s still quite capable. The roles of the team members are the same in both versions. In this free team, Xingque will serve as our secondary damage dealer.
Is Zibai worth pulling in Genshin Impact
Is Zibai worth getting? Absolutely. She’s easier to build than most damage-dealing characters. Right now, she’s the most powerful Geo damage dealer in Genshin Impact. Unlike other Geo characters, she doesn’t require a lot of rare, 5-star teammates to perform well. If you’re looking for a strong Geo DPS who doesn’t need a ton of resources to shine, Zibai is a great choice.
