Friday night’s episode of Love Island was filled with drama as ‘Movie Night’ led to heated arguments between Samie Elishi and Lucinda Strafford in the villa.
As a lifestyle observer, I have to say, things got real interesting on the island! The producers had the islanders split into boys and girls, and then they made them watch clips of everything that had happened so far. It was fascinating – and a little awkward – to see how differently everyone remembered (or didn’t remember!) key moments. Definitely a recipe for drama!
Exactly as the show’s creators hoped, a heated argument erupted between Samie and Lucinda, with both of them passionately confronting each other.
Viewers recently saw Samie get upset when Lucinda threw a pie in her face while they were playing the game Snog, Marry, Pie.
For this year, the game wasn’t limited to the girls and boys against each other.
Lucinda was surprised by how Samie reacted to getting pied, and their argument continued the next day during Movie Night.
Let me tell you, things got pretty heated at the end of our movie night! It all blew up when Lucinda confronted Samie, accusing her of constantly talking negatively about her behind her back. It was a real shouting match, honestly – not the relaxing evening we’d planned!
Samie was riled by Lucinda laughing as she furiously said: ‘She’s laughing, she thinks it’s funny.’
Okay, so things definitely escalated! After Samie brought up what happened with Sean, I responded by pointing out she’d been very open about it, and then asked her if she could understand why I reacted the way I did.
Samie dramatically stormed away from the Movie Night, before later returning.
When the argument between the two women started up again, Love Island viewers quickly took to social media to share their reactions.
Someone commented that Lucinda is deliberately trying to provoke a reaction, and they’re shocked by how she’s treating Samie. They also questioned why Samie left the conversation so easily, adding that she seems quick to get upset. Finally, they wondered how Whitney and Leanne got into an argument.
Lucinda seems to believe she could win against Samie, but she’s hesitant to confront her because of the other people around. It looks like this conflict is going to have to be resolved with a fight.
I used to get along with Samie, but she was really annoying tonight. It seems she doesn’t like Lucinda, and I found myself awkwardly laughing. Lucinda definitely provokes reactions, but Samie just came across as mean-spirited.
It’s disturbing to see Belle and Samie mistreat Lucinda and manipulate her, especially when others dismiss it because they don’t like her voice.
Maya Jama surprised everyone on the island by announcing a new twist that would lead to someone being eliminated.
However, viewers will have to wait until Sunday night to see who is sent home.
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX.
