Grammy-winning Mexican crooner Carín León announces North American tour

Okay, fellow music lovers, get ready! I just heard Carín León is hitting the road again with a massive North American tour in 2026! Time to break out the cowboy hats and maybe pre-game with a tequila shot or two – this is going to be huge!

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter from Mexico begins their tour on May 20th in Hidalgo, Texas. Throughout the summer and fall, they’ll perform in major cities across the U.S., such as Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Chicago, before finishing the tour on October 9th in Portland, Oregon.

The singer will perform at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on September 20th, with the venue able to hold more than 20,000 concertgoers.

The tour culminates with his sold-out Las Vegas residency at the Sphere. In September, León will be the first Latino artist to perform as a headliner at this unique venue, with shows scheduled over seven nights in Las Vegas.

León is increasing the size of his Canadian concert venue to accommodate more fans. He’s moving his Hamilton, Ontario show to the TD Coliseum, which seats around 18,000 people – more than double the 9,000-capacity Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto where he performed earlier this year. This allows him to welcome a much larger audience for his “Primera Cita” performance.

León expressed his excitement about returning to the United States and Canada to perform for his fans. He announced he’s bringing new music and celebrating their shared history. He also shared that they are working on a special show to bring everyone closer together, adding ‘From Sonora to the world… see you soon, my people!’

Singer Carlos Vives last performed in the U.S. in 2024, after releasing his highly praised album “Boca Chueca, Vol. 1.” That album won him his first Grammy Award for a música mexicana album in 2025.

The singer recently won another Grammy Award for his 2025 album, “Palabra de To’s” – the same category he won in last year. He’s now announced a new tour across North America.

León has always pushed the boundaries of traditional Mexican music by working with a diverse range of artists. He’s collaborated with everyone from popular Latin singers like Maluma and Camilo to American country stars such as Kane Brown and Kacey Musgraves.

As a huge music fan, I’ve always loved how Mexican music has blown up internationally, and Natalia Lafourcade, at 36, really gets that. She told The Times last year that she doesn’t see it as just ‘regional’ anymore – it’s truly become a global phenomenon, and I totally agree!

Tickets for his North American tour go on sale February 11th. To make sure real fans get them first, León is partnering with Openstage Ticket Unlocks, a system that provides personalized presale codes and helps prevent bots from buying tickets.
