According to Variety, the movie Wicked: For Good will become available on Peacock starting March 20, 2026. Viewers will be able to watch the full film, a sing-along version, and extra content like deleted scenes and audio commentary from the director, Jon M. Chu. The film stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who return as Elphaba and Galinda, along with Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
As a huge fan of the stage production, I was thrilled to see Wicked: For Good hit theaters on November 21, 2025, and it absolutely smashed box office records! It brought in $147 million domestically on its opening weekend, which was even bigger than the first Wicked movie’s debut. So far, it’s earned over $342.9 million in the US and $526.6 million globally. That puts it as the sixth highest-grossing film of the year domestically and twelfth worldwide – a truly magical success!
‘Wicked: For Good’ Release Compared to ‘Wicked’

Universal Pictures
Universal Pictures is releasing Wicked: For Good shortly after it becomes available on Peacock streaming. The movie will arrive on Peacock 119 days after it hits theaters, which is about four months. This is a longer wait for streaming compared to other November 2025 releases like Predator: Badlands (90 days) and Eternity (79 days).
The movie became available to rent or buy online on December 30, 2025, mirroring the release of the first Wicked film, which was released on New Year’s Eve in 2024. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment then released For Good on disc – including 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD – on January 20, 2026, a bit earlier than the first Wicked’s disc release on February 4, 2025. Despite a less excited response to the sequel, Universal Pictures is generally following the same release plan as the original film.

Although For Good performed well in theaters, it didn’t reach the same heights as the first Wicked film. Wicked was a massive success, earning nearly $475 million in the US and $759 million globally, and it received ten Academy Award nominations. In contrast, For Good didn’t receive any nominations. Despite high expectations and predictions of awards success, mixed reviews from critics and audiences quickly ended its chances.
