It has been the worst-kept social-media secret for weeks.
On Thursday night every girl’s phone in the country pinged with the same message: ‘We knew it!’
Molly-Mae Hague revealed on Instagram that she’s six months pregnant with her second child, and the baby’s father is her boyfriend, Tommy Fury, from Love Island.
Following the current celebrity trend of downplaying announcements, she shared a blurry, old-fashioned ‘home video’ from January, filmed on her camcorder, which showed she was pregnant.
The 26-year-old woman walked down the stairs of the couple’s £5 million Cheshire home, wearing a white crop top and holding her daughter Bambi’s hand.
The three-year-old girl was wearing a cute knitted outfit with ‘Big Sister’ written on the front.
The video cuts to Tommy, 26, cradling Molly’s stomach as she films them in the mirror.
This announcement is quite different from when she first revealed she was pregnant in 2022. Back then, they created a polished, professionally-made video of them by a lake, where the boxer – who is Tyson Fury’s brother – kissed her baby bump.
The video started with a throwback to their time on Love Island in 2019, featuring a clip of her saying she was excited for all the future adventures they would have together.
She shared a heartfelt message with a slow-motion video of them at the lake. The next day, she posted photos from a professional photoshoot.
Four years later and the expectant mother simply penned: ‘Soon to be four’.
Despite what she might say, this pregnancy hasn’t been, and won’t be, quiet or understated.
It all started with months of speculation and the release of videos piquing fans’ curiosity.
Molly-Mae, a popular influencer and YouTuber, is known for sharing her life openly with her 14 million followers and promoting authenticity.
Even back in December, viewers noticed something was off when the YouTuber started only showing her upper body in her weekly 45-minute videos. This quickly sparked rumors and speculation.
That same month, the celebrity subtly suggested she was expecting when she shared a video of herself arriving home to a sweet surprise – cake and flowers sent by Tommy.
Everyone was most struck by the message written on the cake’s frosting. It simply said, ‘New Chapter, Same Us’.
A luxurious New Year’s trip to the Maldives with Tommy and Bambi sparked more online discussion when fans noticed a small bump in some photos from her holiday video.
Fans will remember that when this Love Island star was expecting her daughter, Bambi, she surprisingly talked non-stop about her love for peppermint tea, even though she usually drinks a lot of coffee.
When Molly-Mae shared a photo on Instagram on January 25th—showing her with a cup of herbal tea and wrapped in a coat—many fans immediately speculated that she was hinting at something.
However, the strongest evidence appeared last week. While watching a video she posted from her kitchen, observant fans noticed what looked like a baby bump reflected in a dark window.
Molly-Mae is very skilled at creating buzz and getting people talking, which helps drive traffic to her YouTube channel. There, she often promotes products and partners with brands like L’Oreal for payment.
The influencer skillfully teased her followers with subtle clues, keeping them interested in finding out if she was pregnant.
People familiar with Amazon have shared that company leaders were reportedly disappointed they didn’t find out about the pregnancy until after it was publicly announced during the second season of her documentary, Behind It All.
Last year, Molly-Mae Hague walked the runway for L’Oreal Paris in Paris. She recently shared on Instagram that she was actually pregnant at the time of the show.
Someone involved with the show said it was disappointing that the announcement wasn’t made on air. They believe it would have provided a much stronger and more satisfying conclusion to the season.
She wanted to hold onto it for her own use, and it’s understandable – it’s a really big opportunity for her and will provide her with plenty of material for a long time.
The location is perfect for filming, and everyone is eager to start because stories about pregnancy are reliably popular with viewers.
It looks like the influencer just announced a new, likely very profitable, show with Amazon in a recent Instagram post.
And the timeline of her announcement is no accident.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I heard she was so worried about keeping her pregnancy under wraps that she made everyone at her last photoshoot sign non-disclosure agreements – NDAs! – just to keep quiet about it. Can you even imagine? It just proves how much she wanted to keep it a surprise, and honestly, it makes me love her even more!
Someone on set said everyone believed they were signing non-disclosure agreements because the actress planned to keep her pregnancy a secret, like Kylie Jenner, until after the baby was born.
When Kylie Jenner was pregnant with her daughter, Stormi, she kept her pregnancy private for several months. She didn’t publicly announce Stormi’s birth until three days after she was born.
My source was surprised Molly announced her pregnancy, especially after she’d been so careful with non-disclosure agreements. However, they also pointed out that Molly’s income depends on social media engagement, so it was likely she’d eventually share the news on her accounts.
Surprisingly, the person who threatened to reveal Molly-Mae’s secret – potentially damaging the image she’d worked so hard to create – was someone she was very close to.
In November, Tommy Fury was excitedly telling everyone at a pub – including his father, John, and brother, Tyson – that he was going to be a dad.
Onlookers at the time said: ‘They were clearly celebrating some kind of milestone.
‘Tommy had invited his dad and brother there to share something special with him.’
The couple, who became well-known after appearing on Love Island, have struggled with the sportsman’s drinking. They believe it caused problems in their relationship and contributed to their public breakup two years ago.
Oh my gosh, they’re finally back together and it’s everything I dreamed of! After getting back together last year, they’ve been so open and adorable on social media, constantly showing everyone how happy they are. It’s seriously the cutest thing ever, and I can’t get enough of their ‘loved-up’ posts! I’m so happy they’ve moved past whatever happened before.
After announcing her pregnancy earlier today, she was seen wearing her £600,000 diamond engagement ring again.
Molly-Mae concealed her pregnancy by wearing a long black coat while grabbing coffee close to her Cheshire home.
She wasn’t hiding the ring, which the celebrity has begun to wear again. She explained in her Amazon documentary that she feels ready to wear it now that they’re fully back together, and sees it as a symbol of their renewed relationship.
Let’s hope, for everyone’s sake, this time it lasts.
