Adam Peaty’s estranged family brand Gordon Ramsay a ‘bully who has pushed them too far’ after he claimed their fall out with the swimmer amid marriage to daughter Holly was ‘self-inflicted’

According to reports, Adam Peaty’s family, with whom he is currently estranged, have criticized Gordon Ramsay, calling him a ‘bully’ after he suggested their issues with the swimmer were of their own making.

Last month, the 59-year-old TV chef gave his influencer daughter, Holly, away at her wedding at Bath Abbey. The event was held despite family tensions, resulting in his mother, Caroline, being uninvited and only his sister, Bethany, attending from his side of the family.

Gordon Ramsay told the Daily Mail that he and his wife, Tana, hadn’t done anything wrong and had always treated the Peaty family very well, despite what some reports have said. You can find the complete interview here.

However, a family member has accused Gordon Ramsay of lying and stated that he’s gone too far with his actions.

 ‘How bl***y dare they. The sheer gall of them’. 

The Ramsays were incredibly dismissive of Caroline, practically ignoring her. Mrs. Ramsay never even bothered to respond to her messages.

They also revealed that the celebratory lunch promised after the engagement never actually happened.

Daily Mail have contacted Gordon Ramsay’s representatives for comment. 

Friends say the family has reportedly lost hope of repairing their relationship with their son following a recent comment he made on social media.

In a comment on Adam’s wedding video, the chef jokingly called himself ‘dad,’ responding to Adam’s declaration that he’d ‘always choose’ his wife, Holly.

As a longtime follower, I’m hearing it’s been a truly tough period for the whole family. They’re really trying to process everything, especially now that Adam’s made it clear where his loyalties lie. It’s heartbreaking to see them go through this.

This has completely ended any chance of them getting back together soon. Both sides are now focused on moving forward and avoiding further conflict. It’s obvious Adam has decided what he wants and isn’t looking back.

Gordon commented on Adam’s Instagram wedding video, writing: ‘Such beautiful words, @adamramsaypeaty! Congratulations to you both – love you so much, Dad.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Adam’s reps for comment. 

It was supposed to be the happiest day for the couple, but honestly, it was really dampened by a pretty nasty family argument. I read about it in The Sun – apparently, during his speech, the father of the bride, Gordon, told Holly how stunning she looked and then turned to Adam, saying he was a ‘lucky man.’ But then he added something about Holly’s mother, Tana, and how Adam would eventually have that same experience with her, which just felt… awkward and caused a lot of tension.

The article reported that Gordon made a hurtful comment to his daughter Holly, seemingly referencing Adam’s parents. He reportedly said, ‘It’s a shame you don’t have the same,’ implying Adam didn’t have the same family support.

After the speech, it came out that swimmer Adam’s mother was deeply upset and offended that Gordon had publicly mentioned their long-running and difficult family conflict.

According to a family insider, the celebrity chef’s remark during the speech deeply upset her. They believe the comment was deliberately intended to hurt her feelings, describing it as both cruel and very painful.

Gordon reiterated his comments from his recent appearance on This Morning, maintaining that his wedding speech was ‘perfect and heartfelt’.

He admitted it was really difficult. As a father of three daughters, he’d always imagined their special day, and when it finally came, he was completely overwhelmed with emotion.

The speech went really well – it was spot on. You have to connect with people, be genuine and show some emotion. It’s a challenging task, though.

Tilly, his daughter, revealed she’d heard the speech beforehand. She remembered being in his room on Christmas Eve, listening as he practiced it for about an hour.

‘Going through everything but no tweaks were needed, it was perfect. It made everybody cry.’

Even though Caroline was furious, Holly stood by her father’s speech, explaining that it had made her incredibly happy.

Holly recently told British Vogue about a happy moment during Gordon’s speech, sharing a picture of herself and Adam smiling and laughing together.

Honestly, hearing my dad’s speech, and just looking at everyone… it was incredible. I mean, the room was filled with so much love and happiness, seeing all those smiling faces just completely overwhelmed me. It was a feeling I’ll never forget.

Holly recently shared that her parents covered the cost of her and Adam’s lavish honeymoon in Mauritius, which cost £6,000 per night. This comment seemed to be another dig at her strained relationship with her in-laws, the Peaty family.

She posted several wedding photos with a fashion magazine, including a slightly uncomfortable picture of Holly and Adam with her parents and David and Victoria Beckham.

Since Adam’s parents couldn’t make it to the wedding, they posed for a photo with the groom, along with Gordon and Tana, and Holly.

During his speech, Adam focused on his swim coach, Mel Marshall, describing her as a hugely important influence and source of inspiration. He didn’t mention his family or parents, instead highlighting Mel’s role in keeping him grounded and motivated.

The family disagreement started in September 2024 when Adam and Holly didn’t invite many of their relatives to their engagement party, causing hurt feelings.

Despite driving her son to countless early morning practices for years, Caroline wasn’t included in Holly’s fancy hen party at Soho Farmhouse. The bride’s mother, Tana, and friends like Victoria Beckham were there, though.
