Rebecca Ferguson recently shared details about becoming a mother at age 23, and how her partner was 22 years older than her.
Actress Rebecca Ferguson, 42, welcomed her son, Isac, in her 20s. His father was Ludwig Hallberg, a 45-year-old holistic therapist who she was dating at the time. Ferguson is known for her roles in films like Dune and Mission: Impossible.
Rebecca maintained that the twenty-year age difference wasn’t a problem for her, as she felt older than her years.
Rebecca Ferguson, known for her role in ‘Silo,’ recently told Harper’s Bazaar that she began working at a young age – 15, to be exact. She described it as a fast track to growing up and taking on adult responsibilities.
However, their romance wasn’t meant to be and they separated in 2015 after six years together.
She met her future husband, Rory St. Clair Gainer, the following year; he’s seven years younger than she is. They married in 2018 and now have a seven-year-old daughter named Saga.
You know, working on action films while pregnant definitely has its challenges, but I recently heard Rebecca talk about her experience on Mission: Impossible, and it was amazing! She actually enjoyed doing some of her own stunts while expecting. Can you believe it? She said Tom Cruise was a huge inspiration – his dedication and energy really motivated her to keep going and push herself, even during that time. It just goes to show what a positive influence he is on set!
She remembered a pattern of fighting, then quickly leaving to be sick in a bag, having a mint, and immediately returning to the conflict.
Rebecca shared about working with Tom: ‘He has a real drive and enthusiasm. He genuinely loves performing, and creates a secure and professional environment. That combination is fantastic – it makes everyone feel comfortable enough to take risks and try new things.’
I used to be afraid of heights, but knowing there’s always someone ready to step in and help lets you challenge yourself further. You can try something daring, because if you get too scared, you can always back out at the last minute.
Rebecca first became well-known internationally for playing Elizabeth Woodville in the BBC’s historical series, The White Queen, a performance that led to a Golden Globe nomination.
Her impressive acting in the play helped her land the part of Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and that role made her a well-known action movie star.
After appearing in Rogue Nation, she returned for Mission: Impossible – Fallout and later films, firmly establishing herself as a prominent figure in Hollywood.
She became even more well-known after appearing in popular films like The Greatest Showman, Doctor Sleep, and Dune.
The actress is now part of the impressive cast for the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, officially named Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. It will be available on Netflix starting March 20th.
She’ll be acting alongside Cillian Murphy, who plays the famous Tommy Shelby, plus Barry Keoghan from Saltburn and Tim Roth, known for his role in Pulp Fiction.
Rebecca shared her enthusiasm for the new film, saying it was an easy decision. She was drawn to the raw and troubled nature of the characters, explaining that’s exactly the kind of role she’s looking for.
However, she admitted that there is ‘no chance’ her character could do a Birmingham accent.
She explained that she couldn’t attempt a Birmingham accent for the role, fearing it would negatively impact the movie. She felt it was a skill she couldn’t pull off successfully.
