James Gunn recently shared a brief video on social media promoting DC’s partnership with Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines, timed to coincide with Sunday’s Puppy Bowl. The video features Milly Alcock, who stars as Supergirl, announcing the collaboration. Warner Bros., which is producing the Supergirl movie, also owns Animal Planet, the network broadcasting the Puppy Bowl.
Gunn shared how adorable the Puppy Bowl is, and let everyone know where and when to watch! You can tune in to Animal Planet on Sunday at 2pm Eastern Time or 11am Pacific Time. And if you’re a Supergirl fan, the movie hits theaters on June 26th.
Following the success of last year’s Superman-themed initiative, we’re continuing a feel-good tradition. This time, a group of Labrador puppies – Clark, Kara, Lois, Krypto, and Lobo – embodies our partnership. These adorable pups are being trained to become assistance dogs, providing support to people with vision loss, veterans with PTSD or traumatic brain injury, and children with autism.
