Masters of the Universe teaser will give you huge nostalgia as trailer release date is confirmed

Get ready for a blast from the past! Masters of the Universe just released a first look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man in a short teaser, with the full trailer coming out tomorrow.

The video begins with a classic MGM logo, but with a modern update: it now includes the text “An Amazon Company” underneath the famous lion.

The preview starts with a voiceover, inviting viewers to remember a more nostalgic era, shown on an old-fashioned square TV. It highlights things like floppy disks, brightly colored sugary cereals, and the popular cartoon He-Man as the hero of the time.

The narrator suggests we really need a hero like that now, as the preview returns to a shot of Galitzine.

For her role as Prince Adam Glenn in Bottoms, the actor is sporting longer blonde hair. A key scene shows the character finding the Power Sword of Grayskull, which kicks off her journey.

Directed by Travis Knight, the movie centers on He-Man’s quest to liberate his home world, Eternia, from the villainous Skeletor, portrayed by Jared Leto.

Although Jared Leto doesn’t appear in the short preview, watch out for his take on the Mattel villain when the full trailer comes out tomorrow, January 22nd. The trailer is expected to be released a day after the preview, likely around 3 PM in the UK.

The brief 30-second trailer showed Adam with the Power Sword, and a quick shot of Galitzine as He-Man alongside Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms, and the robot Roboto (voiced by Kristen Wiig). There was also a glimpse of what appeared to be Battle Lion!

The cast of Masters of the Universe includes Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as Teela’s mother, the Sorceress, James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley as Adam’s parents, King Randor and Queen Marlena, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, and Sasheer Zamata as Adam’s Earth-based best friend, Suzie.
