Millie Mackintosh was seen in public on Thursday for the first time since announcing her separation from her husband, Hugo Taylor, after seven years of marriage.
I was really saddened to hear that Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have separated. They announced it back in January, and it sounds like they’ve had a tough beginning to the year. It’s especially hard knowing it affects their two adorable daughters, Sienna and Aurelia, who are only five and four years old. I’m sending them all my best wishes during this difficult time.
Millie, 39, appeared sad while out in London, and seemed to be hiding the fact she was married by not wearing her wedding ring – which reports say she had removed earlier.
She stepped out alone minutes before Hugo left with one of their children this morning.
Millie braved the rain with an umbrella, wearing a white puffer jacket, black leggings, and Nike sneakers as she went outside.
The couple has reportedly been talking about their future together. Sources say Hugo has found it difficult to process the star’s recent openness about her sexuality.
Millie went out just two days after she and her husband decided to separate. They share two daughters, Sienna, age five, and Aurelia, age four, and had been having a tough time at the beginning of the year.
Millie has been posting some mysterious messages on Instagram lately, talking about setting personal boundaries and focusing on her own needs.
The celebrity traveled to India last week for a personal wellness trip focused on restoring and calming the nervous system.
At the beginning of the year Millie hopped on the ‘What are you leaving behind in 2025?’ trend.
She shared a series of photos and wrote about letting go of draining relationships and the need to stop constantly justifying her personal boundaries.
Looking back, her list also included some puzzling phrases, like admitting she hadn’t trusted her gut feelings, felt guilty for prioritizing her own needs, and allowed fear to control her actions.
She concluded that 2026 would be the year of ‘calm, clarity and self-trust’.
She kicked off the new year with a message to her followers, expressing excitement about becoming her own biggest supporter.
In a long post, she wrote: ‘Happy New Year, everyone! I wanted to share some of my goals for 2026:’
I’m prioritizing my well-being by taking care of my nervous system. I’m learning to say ‘no’ more often and ‘yes’ with more consideration. I’m focusing on steady progress rather than pushing myself too hard. I’m also working on deepening my connection with my audience and trusting my own instincts without needing approval. Finally, I’m paying attention to my body’s signals and respecting its needs.
Sadly, it seems like Millie and Hugo have been battling problems as a couple for a while.
The television personality shared that Hugo threatened divorce three years ago while she was struggling with alcohol, following an argument at a wedding that became public.
In January 2025, while on the show This Morning to discuss her book, Bad Drunk, she shared the story of when she decided to stop drinking.
She explained that it was causing her a lot of distress and negatively impacting her life, particularly her relationship with her husband.
Ben Shephard shared a previous comment Millie made during a disagreement with Hugo at a wedding, where she reportedly said, ‘If you don’t stop drinking, it’s going to end our marriage.’
Millie explained that she’d gone too far and deeply embarrassed him. She felt incredibly ashamed and decided she’d had enough a couple of days later – that was two and a half years ago.
She also admitted she used to ‘drunkenly snog girls’ at the height of her battle with alcohol.
Okay, so I’ve been following Milie for ages, and it’s been so inspiring seeing her journey! I heard she got sober in 2022, which is amazing, but apparently being totally honest with herself and everyone else was really hard. And honestly? The gossip is saying figuring out who she really is, you know, embracing her sexuality, is what started causing problems with her husband. It’s just… a lot. I’m so curious to know the full story, but I really hope she’s doing okay.
She’s sometimes wondered what her life would have been like if she’d been in a relationship with a woman, and if she missed an opportunity for that kind of connection.
Millie recently discussed her past struggles with alcohol in an interview on Caggie Dunlop’s Saturn Returns Podcast. She became sober in 2022 and has now written a book, called Bad Drunk, detailing her experiences.
The celebrity shared that she found it difficult to acknowledge her attraction to women as a teenager, and only felt comfortable showing affection – like kissing – when under the influence of alcohol.
She revealed that bullying at an all-girls’ school led to difficulties with intimacy in her relationships with women. When she drank, she sometimes impulsively kissed girls, which often bothered her male partners.
Millie explained that when she was a teenager, she only felt comfortable kissing girls after drinking, but she lacked that confidence when she was sober.
Growing up, I experienced crushes on girls, but I didn’t realize what those feelings meant. I just felt confused and awkward when I liked someone. I even remember being anxious during sleepovers, wondering if my friends might try to kiss me.
Honestly, therapy has been a game-changer for me. I’ve been really digging into why I struggle with relationships, especially with women. Looking back, I was bullied, and I realize that’s definitely created some issues with getting close to people. But at the same time, I’ve also realized there’s a genuine attraction there, which makes things even more complicated to sort through.
She explained that while her marriage is strong now, she now understands that in the past, she turned to destructive drinking because she struggled with an unacknowledged part of herself and was afraid to express her true feelings.
‘Every time I would drink I would just keep doing it, even if I was in a relationship.’
She described telling her husband, Hugo Taylor, about her sexuality, and shared that he was wonderfully understanding and supportive.
Okay, so I’ve been following everything so closely, and people who are in the know are saying they’re really focused on being amazing parents, which is honestly the most important thing. Apparently, they’re totally dedicated to making sure their kids feel loved and have a happy family, even if things are different now. It’s just… they’re putting the kids first, and that’s everything to me, honestly!
Millie and Hugo first became a couple as teenagers on the reality show Made In Chelsea, and they’ve been married since June 2018.
Millie and Hugo have separated and are no longer together, according to a source.
After many years together, they’ve recently had difficult talks about their future and have sadly decided to separate. They are committed to prioritizing their children and family during this challenging time, and this wasn’t an outcome they ever wanted.
They’re currently figuring out what life would be like if they lived separately and how they’ll share parenting responsibilities for their young children. It’s been a really tough beginning to the year, and they’re hoping to handle things privately going forward.
Millie and Hugo first connected when she was a teenager, and they started dating at 21. They became well-known while appearing together on the E4 reality show.
In 2013, the heiress married rapper Professor Green, now 42, but they divorced three years later in 2016. That same year, she and Hugo started dating again.
They got married two years after they first met and had their first daughter, Sienna, in 2020. Aurelia followed a year later, in 2021.
Millie has recently shared with her fans about her history with alcohol, explaining how it led her to stop drinking altogether and inspired her book, Bad Drunk. She’s also talked about her experiences with, and recovery from, serious anxiety.
Millie has openly discussed starting to drink heavily when she was young and at boarding school. She used alcohol as a way to deal with feeling homesick, being bullied, and struggling with self-doubt.
