Following the exit of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, The Grand Tour has revealed its new hosts. The popular Prime Video show concluded its eight-year run with the trio in 2024, and many have been wondering who would replace them.
The streamer announced that Francis Bourgeois, a popular trainspotter and social media personality, along with James Engelsman and Thomas Holland from the car review channel Throttle House, will be taking over as hosts.
A new season of The Grand Tour is coming later this year! This six-part series will take viewers around the world with plenty of excitement, powerful cars, and humor.

The upcoming episodes will feature the team driving across the Angolan desert, discovering Malaysia’s vibrant car scene, and putting the newest high-performance cars to the test in California.
Engelsman and Holland seem to have more experience with cars generally, but Bourgeois is a trained mechanical engineer who previously worked at Rolls-Royce and Amazon. They anticipate he’ll bring valuable technical skills and a lot of enthusiasm to the team, even claiming he can identify a car just by listening to its engine.
Bourgeois used the expression ‘big shoes to fill’ to describe the situation, adding that it would be like watching Mo Farah run in oversized, ill-fitting wellies. He predicted it might be a bit clumsy at first, potentially causing some problems, but ultimately, it would be fascinating to see how it unfolds.
Engelsman shared, “After nearly ten years of creating car videos with Thomas, it turns out the final piece of the puzzle was Francis Bourgeois! Get ready for some exciting car adventures.”
Holland initially reacted to the news of The Grand Tour reboot with skepticism, stating that anyone accepting the challenge of replacing Clarkson, Hammond, and May would have to be foolish.
The original hosts finished their last special in September 2024, and Hammond noted then that whoever takes over next needs to be truly passionate about the show.
I always thought the best part of our show was that you didn’t need to be a total car fanatic to enjoy it. We actually had a lot of viewers who weren’t, which was awesome! But, we – the people making the show – really needed to be the ones in the know about cars. We had to be the experts!
The Grand Tour will return later in 2026 on Prime Video.
