I was so touched hearing Jennifer Garner talk about being a mom recently! She was sharing some really personal thoughts while talking about her exciting new partnership between Once Upon A Farm – which I already love for my kids – and Carter’s. It’s great to see how much being a mother means to her, and how that shines through in everything she does.
Oh my gosh, hearing her talk about young parents just gets me! It’s like she totally understands that desperate need to be a good parent, to do everything perfectly for your kids. She said it herself – she’s been there, she felt that same weight of wanting to get it right, and honestly, it just resonated so deeply. It’s like she’s speaking directly to my soul!
The actress shares Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 13, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, 53.
Garner’s latest clothing collection for kids uses bright, playful designs of fruits like bananas, strawberries, and avocados. The idea is to help children become more acquainted with healthy food options.
She told PEOPLE that at Once Upon a Farm, they always emphasized fun, bright designs.
We aim to ensure children are well-nourished and get the vitamins they need. Helping them become familiar with a variety of foods – and encouraging them to eat them – can be easier if they see those foods presented in a visually appealing way.
Garner became a co-founder of a clean baby food and kids’ snack company in 2017. In a 2023 interview with Good Morning America, she explained that the company aims to support mothers.
When talking about the latest Carter’s line, she explained that pajamas usually feature typical nighttime designs like characters or stars. She wondered why they couldn’t also include fun fruit patterns like strawberries, avocados, and bananas instead.
Carter’s is a really well-known and reliable brand. Most kids grow up wearing Carter’s clothes, so it felt like a natural fit for a partnership.
To celebrate their new partnership, the Carter’s Charitable Foundation and Once Upon a Farm are each giving $10,000 to Save the Children.
Jennifer Garner co-founded Once Upon a Farm because she wanted to offer babies and kids genuinely healthy food – fresh fruits and vegetables with no added sugar. She also wanted to make this high-quality nutrition accessible to more children, including those in need, by partnering with programs like WIC and organizations such as Save the Children.
WIC is an acronym for the federal nutrition program for women, infants and young children.
‘It makes perfect sense that in this collaboration with Carter’s, we would come together to support kids growing up in underserved communities in rural America,’ the star said.
Seeing our designs on babies’ first outfits – those special onesies and pajamas – is incredibly meaningful and brings us a lot of happiness,” the mom shared with emotion.
Affleck recently opened up about raising kids as a public figure.
Having a public life creates challenges when raising children,” he recently shared with E! News.
He explained they’re letting their children explore different options and choose their own career paths, rather than pushing them in any specific direction.
He added that he wouldn’t want to pressure them into pursuing acting. He expressed how much he loves and is proud of them, describing them as brilliant and wonderful, and hopes they find fulfilling paths in life.
Samuel and Fin are both students, focusing on their studies. Violet, a student at Yale University, is also dedicated to activism and finds it deeply fulfilling.
Jennifer Garner and her husband, the Academy Award-winning director, got married in 2005. They separated in 2015 and officially divorced in 2018.
