In Season 2, Jonathan Pine’s investigation led him to Colombia, where he pursued arms dealer Teddy Dos Santos. The season took a surprising turn when it was revealed that Richard Roper, previously thought to be out of the picture, was actually involved.

The season concluded with the deaths of both Teddy and Angela, leaving viewers eager to see what happens next.

We can definitely expect a third season! Tom Hiddleston has confirmed it’s happening, and thankfully, it won’t take as long to arrive as season 2 did.

He recently shared on This Morning that the show will continue, explaining they always intended this first season to be the start of a larger, 12-episode story. This allowed them to explore many possibilities for the plot, knowing they had another season planned.

We enjoy stories told in three parts – there’s a natural completeness to that format,” he explained. He also reassured fans that they won’t have to wait ten years for the next installment.

After the final episode aired, the show’s creator, David Farr, shared that they filmed an extended version of an important scene that contained more detail than what viewers ultimately saw.

He told Variety they decided to cut that scene because they thought it would reveal too much of the story too soon.

The Night Manager can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
