Chris Pratt drama gets release date as first look revealed

Chris Pratt‘s latest film, Way of the Warrior Kid, is scheduled to be released later this year. A preview has also been revealed. The movie tells the story of a Navy SEAL recovering from an injury who mentors his nephew, helping him overcome bullying and find his strength at school.

The movie is coming to Apple TV on November 20th. New photos of Chris Pratt and his fellow actors, Linda Cardellini and Jude Hill, have also been shared and you can see them below.

Way of the Warrior Kid is inspired by a book written by Jocko Willink, a former Navy SEAL. The story centers around Marc (Hill), a boy who is being bullied and struggles with school, sports, and making friends.

What to Read Next

Things shift when Marc’s uncle, Jake (played by Pratt), a highly decorated Navy SEAL recovering from an injury, comes to stay with Marc and his mother, Sarah (Cardellini), for the summer.

To support Marc, Jake creates a unique plan called ‘Operation Warrior Kid,’ drawing on his experiences as a Navy SEAL. Rather than teaching Marc how to physically fight, Jake helps him understand true courage by confronting his own personal struggles in the process.

The show’s cast features Ava Torres from Chicago Fire, Levi McConaughey of The Lost Bus, Darien Sills-Evans known from Wizards of Waverly Place, Carl McDowell from Holidate, and Parker Young who starred in Arrow.

The movie Way of the Warrior Kid is being directed by McG, known for Charlie’s Angels, and the screenplay is being written by Will Staples, who also worked on Without Remorse.

I just finished watching Mercy, and it was a really interesting movie! Chris Pratt plays a detective trying to convince an AI judge he’s innocent in his wife’s murder. I recently read an interview with him on Digital Spy, and he was explaining why the movie doesn’t really take a side on the whole AI debate, which I thought was a smart choice.

He explained the appeal of drawing people into a thoughtful discussion – one that could change how they view a significant topic like artificial intelligence, its impact on employment, and the challenges it presents for workers.

Okay, so forget any deep, meaningful themes with this movie. It’s not trying to be clever or make you think. It’s just pure, non-stop action for about 90 minutes – a total adrenaline rush, basically!

Way of the Warrior Kid will be released on 20 November on Apple TV.
