Professor Green released a new music video on Instagram on Wednesday, shortly after seemingly hinting at the troubles in his ex-wife’s current marriage.
London rapper, 42, recently shared a sneak peek of artwork for his new single, ‘No Management.’ The track features production from grime artist Zdot.
Green’s newest song, released after four previous singles with Zdot in 2025, has been available to buy or stream since January 28th.
The post from Wednesday indicates a video is coming soon, and the rapper’s recent work suggests a new album might be on the way – his first since ‘Growing Up In Public’ came out in 2014.
The rapper, Stephen Manderson, has been posting subtly on Instagram lately. This follows a cryptic post he shared about ‘sailing ships’ soon after his ex-wife, Millie Mackintosh, announced her divorce from Hugo Taylor after seven years of marriage.
Former Made In Chelsea stars, parents to five-year-old Sienna and four-year-old Aurelia, announced their split in January after a challenging beginning to the year.
On Tuesday, Green posted a funny video to Instagram showing a boat hitting a branch of Barclays bank, which many believe was a veiled reference to his ex-wife and her recent split.
Captioning the meme, he wrote: ‘That ship has sailed… not very far it hasn’t!’
Green recently shared that he’s been reconnecting with his ex-wife, whom he called ‘beautiful,’ nearly ten years after their difficult divorce.
In an October interview on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, the rapper explained that he and Mackintosh developed a close connection because they both later realized they had undiagnosed ADHD, leading to what he described as ‘trauma bonding’.
He admitted that external pressure played a significant role in their decision to get married, and they almost didn’t go through with it.
I recall talking with my two close friends, Lewis and Phoenix. I was questioning whether I was becoming hesitant and wondering what was happening. One of them thought I was, and the other didn’t. I won’t say which one said what, as it wasn’t their place to share.
I chose what was right for me, and we both agreed on it. We decided not to get married, but it wasn’t because of any bad feelings – we genuinely cared for each other.
It likely involved a type of unhealthy connection formed through difficult experiences. It’s hard to admit, but it takes real self-awareness to acknowledge you played a significant role – at least half – in a situation that ultimately didn’t succeed, especially when another person was involved.
‘But hopefully we can both go forward and find happiness and belonging.’
He complimented his ex-wife, calling her ‘beautiful’ and explaining that he holds no ill will towards her. He acknowledged they weren’t a good match at the time, but still thinks she’s gorgeous.
Millie Green and Hugo Taylor began dating publicly in May 2016, just as Millie finalized her divorce.
They got married two years after they first met and then had two daughters: Sienna, born in 2020, and Aurelia, born in 2021.
Recently, Macintosh has openly shared her experiences with alcohol and anxiety with her fans. She stopped drinking altogether and wrote the book Bad Drunk to discuss her struggles and recovery.
The former TV star has openly discussed starting to drink heavily as a teenager while at boarding school. She used alcohol to deal with feelings of homesickness, being bullied, and her own self-doubt.
Mackintosh shared on Brogan Garrit-Smith’s podcast, Getting There in 2025, that she experienced a difficult period following her divorce.
She explained that both she and Professor Green were dealing with personal difficulties, and they perhaps each hoped the other could help them overcome those challenges.
However, things didn’t work out, and our individual difficulties only made the situation worse. It became a really unhealthy environment.
